Almost everybody uses the Internet to communicate with a server or person, but this tool can
have positive or negative effects. What are the intangibles that make it negative? Therefore, I
personally agree to the Internet has had negative effects on the civilization.

First of all, the positives, one can review articles, studies and journals to find the answer about
any topic. Moreover, one can communicate with family or friends at any time through many apps
like facebook, whatsapp, skype,. Furthermore, with this tool, one can do fast business
transactions without the need to go out. For example, since I am at the university,I always need
to search for some information on different related subjects which is really helpful..

However, the repercussions, an adult might tend to neglect their children. Besides, one can
upload or dowload pornography material, the young minds of children are corrupted through this
exposure. Also, one can be a victim of stolen credit card information where one can lose
thousands of dollars. For instance, my uncle does not know how to use the Internet and he lost
a lot of money for that reason.

On one hand, one could be exposed to identity theft; but, the computer user has to learn that it
would lessen the risk by changing passwords every three months or so.
