Oval bottom

This is a basic pattern for an oval bottom with 200 stitches.

Here you can see a video of the first rounds of an oval bottom: https://youtu.be/CeM6jtx_oeM

Start carrying 2 yarns in round 1. Add 2 more yarns in round 2.

Chain 70 stitches, make the chain stitches like this: https://youtu.be/pngq8JCkPIE

1) 3 single crochet (sc) around the yarns you carry, (place a stitch marker in the first sc), 70 sc,
3 sc around the yarns you carry, 70 sc (on the other side of the chain) [146]

From now on all the stitches will be made in the back loop.
2) *2 sc in next sc* (3x), 70 sc, *2 sc in next sc* (3x), 70 sc [152]
3) *2 sc in next sc* (6x), 70 sc, *2 sc in next sc* (6x), 70 sc [164]
4) *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc* (6x), 70 sc, *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc* (6x), 70 sc [176]
5) *2 sc in next sc, 2 sc* (6x), 70 sc, *2 sc in next sc, 2 sc* (6x), 70 sc [188]
6) *2 sc in next sc, 3 sc* (6x), 70 sc, *2 sc in next sc, 3 sc* (6x), 70 sc [200]

If you want more stitches you can add more rounds. Each round has 12 extra stitches.
Or you can start with more chain stitches. 10 extra chain stitches results in 20 more stitches.

The measurements of the oval bottom are about 26 cm x 6 cm / 10.2 inch x 2.4 inch.
