IMPLEMENTING RULES AND REGULATIONS

IRR 1.0 GENERAL GUIDELINES


IRR 1.1 The Barrio Fiesta Competitions shall comprise of the following:
Parade Assembly
Best Yell
Hala! Familiar
Officers’ Showoff
Block presentation
JPIA Babe and Hunk
Faction Booth Competition

IRR 2.0 GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS


IRR 2.1 All participants must be bona fide members of Junior Philippine Institute of
Accountants SY 2019-2020.
IRR 2.2 The champions and the winners of a particular event in the prior year(s) can still
participate in the same event.
IRR 2.3 Final list of contestants are to be submitted through the JPIA e-mail address
(usjrjpia19.20@gmail.com) on or before February 28, 2020.

PARADE ASSEMBLY

IRR 1.0 MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES


IRR 1.1 The participating cabin shall assemble at the USJ-R Basak Campus at exactly
8:30 am for the parade. The cabin with the greatest number of attendees by
this time shall be declared the winner.

IRR 2.0 POINTS AND DEDUCTIONS


IRR 2.1 The winning cabin shall receive an additional 150 Drachmas while the losing
cabin shall also receive an additional 100 Drachmas.
IRR 2.2 A 5-drachmas deduction in the total score will be imposed in every guideline, rules
or regulations violated.

BEST YELL
IRR 1.0 MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES
IRR 1.1 The participating cabin will assemble in the assigned location upon the time
allotted for the presentation of the yell on March 1, 2020.
IRR 1.2 Each Faction is given a minimum of three (3) minutes and a maximum of seven (7)
minutes to perform including the entrance and exit.
IRR 1.3 Each cabin can use any props and concept for the competition provided that it
will not cause damages to any property inside the venue. Use of fireworks is
strongly prohibited.
IRR 1.4 The Best Yell will be judged during the grand entrance (morning event).
IRR 1.5 No negative remarks, words and expressions should be uttered against the other
competing cabin.
IRR 1.6 Passing of hardcopy of Yell shall be passed on February 28, 2020 at the JPIA
Office.
IRR 2.0 CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
The criteria for judging are as follows:
Content 40%
Originality and Uniqueness 20%
Synchronization 20%
Timeliness 10%
Over-all Impact 10%
TOTAL 100%
The judges’ decisions are final and irrevocable.

IRR 3.0 POINTS AND DEDUCTIONS

IRR 3.1 The winning cabin shall receive an additional 150 Drachmas, while the losing
cabin shall also receive an additional 100 Drachmas.
IRR 3.2 A 5-point deduction in the total score will be imposed in every guideline, rules or
regulations violated.

IRR 1.0 MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES


IRR 1.1 Each Cabin must send two (2) impersonators or representatives.
IRR 1.2 The said representatives will impersonate a teacher/professor they have chosen
and the teacher’s name shall be submitted on or before February 24, 2020 to avoid
having the same teacher to impersonate. (The first cabin to send will be prioritized
if the situation arises).
IRR 1.3 Any costume, props, and the like are allowed, except for sharp & pointy objects,
pyrotechnics, live animals, or other equipment which may damage the venue. The
harmful items stated above are strictly prohibited.
IRR 1.4 The contestants are required to prepare a three (3) to five (5) minute
performance which includes their entrance and exit.
IRR 1.5 If props are used, contestants are allowed a maximum of 3 minute-preparation
time.
IRR 1.6 The contestants may have backup to accompany them, but must not exceed to
10 persons.

IRR 3.0 POINTS AND DEDUCTIONS
IRR 3.1 The following hours shall be added to the cabin where the contestant belongs.

Champion 250 Drachmas


1st Runner Up 200 Drachmas
2nd Runner Up 150 Drachmas
3rd Runner Up 100 Drachmas

IRR 3.2 A 5-point deduction in the total score will be imposed in every guideline, rules or
regulations violated.
OFFICERS’ SHOWOFF

IRR 1.0 SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS


IRR 1.1 All participants must be a year level officer in each Cabin.
IRR 2.0 MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES
IRR 2.1 Each cabin must send a group consisting 8-15 members for this competition.
IRR 2.2 Each cabin is given a minimum of three (3) minutes and a maximum of seven (7)
minutes for their performance. Time allotted includes the entrance, exit, and set-up
of props.
IRR 2.3 Working committees and block representatives are allowed to join as long as
they are part of the organizational structure of the cabin.
IRR 2.4 Props are permitted to be used during the performance provided that such props will
not cause any discomfort or inconvenience to the audience.
IRR 2.5 The performance must not contain any vulgar or obscene acts. It must be suitable
for public presentation
IRR 2.6 Music should be submitted on or before February 28, 2020.
IRR 3.0 CRITERIA FOR JUDGING
Showmanship and Entertainment Value 50%
Creativity and Originality 30%
Costume and Props 15%
Audience Impact 5%

IRR 4.0 POINTS AND DEDUCTIONS


IRR 4.1 The winning cabin shall receive an additional 150 Drachmas, while the losing
cabin shall also receive an additional 100 Drachmas.
IRR 4.2 A 5-point deduction in the total score will be imposed in every guideline, rules or
regulations violated.
BLOCK
PRESENTATION

IRR 1.0 MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES


IRR 1.1 This is open to all blocks who are interested to present during the
event.
IRR 1.2 The presentation must be at least three (3) minutes to five (5) minutes
only.
IRR 1.3 The blocks are given the freedom to choose what kind of performance they want.
IRR 1.4 Any costume, props, and the like are allowed, except for sharp & pointy objects,
pyrotechnics, live animals, or any other equipment which may damage the venue.
The harmful items stated above are strictly prohibited.
IRR 1.5 Their music must be given on or before February 28, 2020.
IRR 1.6 Final confirmation of the blocks who will present must be given on or before
February 28, 2020.

IRR 3.0 POINTS AND DEDUCTIONS
IRR 3.1 The following hours shall be added to the cabin where the contestant belongs.

JPIA BABE AND HUNK

IRR 1.0 SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS


IRR 1.1 Each cabin must send two (2) male and two (2) female
representatives.
IRR 1.2 The representatives must not be part of the LGBTQ community.
IRR 1.3 Titleholders of major JPIA-related pageants shall be prohibited to join
such event.
IRR 2.0 MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES
IRR 2.1 The male participants shall perform as the babe and the female participant shall be
the hunk.
IRR 2.2 Each contestant shall be judge individually with the following exposures:
A. Coachella Wear
B. Talents Portion
C. Recycled Formal Wear
D. Question and Answer
IRR 2.3 The Cabin shall be assigned to shoulder the needs of their representatives such as
makeup artists and handlers if needed.
IRR 2.4 Contestant shall participate in all off-pageant activities (example. Scheduled
photoshoots).
IRR 2.5 Avoid excessive nudity in all attires to be worn by the representatives.

IRR 3.2 Talents Portion


3.2.1. Each representative shall showcase their creativity in the talent of their choice.
3.2.2. Each candidate shall only be given 3 minutes to perform his/her talent

IRR 3.4 QUESTION AND ANSWER


3.4.1. Contestant will pick the number of their questions
3.4.2. Contestant will be given a minute to deliver his/her answer.

IRR 3.6 The decision of board of judges is final and irrevocable.

IRR 4.0 VIOLATIONS AND DEDUCTIONS


IRR 4.1 Failure to attend scheduled rehearsals and photoshoots will cost 10 drachmas per
circumstances.
IRR 4.2 Late submission, February 28, 2020, of entries shall be subject to 15 drachmas
deduction per contestants.
IRR 4.3 Withdrawal of contestant without immediate replacement is subject to 10 drachmas
deduction.
IRR 5.0 POINTS AND MAJOR AWARDS
IRR 5.1 Major Awards
JPIA BABE AND HUNK- 250 drachmas each
1st Runner Up-200drachmas each
2nd Runner Up-150drachmas each
3rd Runner up- 100 drachmas each

IRR 5.2 Special Awards


5.2.1. MR AND MS PICTUREGENIC
5.2.1.1. Photographer shall choose his/her favorite photo and his/her will be 50% determinant for
the award.
5.2.1.2. Each judge shall pick their favorite photo per division (male and female) and shall be a
50% determinant for winning the award

5.2.2. MS AND MR SOCIABLE


5.2.2.1. The photos personally picked by the photographer shall be posted in the official facebook
page; USJR Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants.
5.2.2.2. To win such award, such picture should garner the highest amount of reacts which shall be
determined upon posting up to February 29,2020, 11;59 pm.

5.2.3. Most Dressed


5.2.4. Best in Talentful
5.2.5. Mr and Ms Coachella’t Tinidor

BEST BOOTH
IRR 1.0 MECANICS AND GUIDELINES
IRR 1.1 The participating Cabin will have to set up a booth that will relate with the event
and will represent their respective Cabin.
IRR 1.2 The Cabin can start decorating / designing their respective booth the day before
and during the event before 11:30am. The judging of the booth will be exactly
12noon.

IRR 2.0 CRITERIA FOR JUDGING


IRR 2.1 Criteria for judging will be as follow

Creativity 50%
Orderliness 30%
Overall Impact 10%
Neatness 10%

IRR 3.0 POINTS AND DEDUCTIONS


IRR 3.1 The winning cabin shall receive an additional 150 drachmas while the losing
faction shall be deducted with 100 drachmas from their lifespan,

IRR 3.3 The decision of the judges is final and irrevocable.
