Masaya ang buong pamilya. Kaarawan kasi ni Tatay

Hindi niya alam, maghahanda kami para sa kanya.

“Pansit at tinapay, yan ang paborito ni Tatay”, sabi ni Ate.


“Ako, pagtitimpla ko siya nang mainit na kape” sabi ni

sabi naming lahat.

Niyakap kami ni Tatay.

“Maraming salamat sa inyo, mga mahal ko”, sabi ni Tatay.

Nakatira si Migo sa malayong barangay sa San Jose Del Monte.


Kahit malayo ang kanyang tahanan, masaya siyang pumapasok sa
paaralan.

Binabati niya ang bawat makasalubong sa daan.

“Magandang buhay po, Ka Tinay”, Bati ni Migo.

“Ingat po sa paglalakad”, paalala pa niya.

Kumakanta. Pumipito pa si Migo habang naglalakad.

Ang hindi alam ng marami, dumaranas si Migo ng Kahirapan sa


Buhay.

Walang sapat na pagkain, may sakit ang mapagmahal na ina at


malayo ang Tatay na nagtratrabaho sa Maynila.

Pero hindi ito hadlang kay Migo upang mag-aral nang mabuti.

Pangako niya sa sarili, “Mag-aaral akong mabuti. Ipapagamot ko si


Inay, at is Tatay, hindi na niya kailangan pang lumayo”.

Minsan binati si Migo ng kanyang guro.

“Migo, Top one ka uli sa klase”, sabi ng gurong si Ma’am Sara.

Tumalon sa tuwa si Migo at saka naalala ang bilin ni Inay.

“Lagi kang magpapasalamat Migo ha, anuman ang dumating”,


naisip ni Migo.

Yumuko si Migo at nagpasalamat sa Dios.

The Turtle Who Wanted to Fly

A Turtle who lived by the sea wanted to fly.

“If I could fly, even once, I would be the happiest turtle”, he


said.

Soon he saw an eagle flying nearby.

“Teach me how to fly”, said the turtle. “I promise to give you


all the treasures in the sea”.

The eagle was happy. He held the turtle with his claws and
flew up with him. When they were up in the sky, he dropped the
turtle and said, “There, you can fly now”.

Down fell the turtle on the rocks. He was badly hurt. His shell
was broken.
