Dear Robert Munsch:

Hello, I am the chairperson of the Month of Munsch Planning Committee and I would like to invite you to come
to speak to our school. On March 28, 2018 we would like you to come to Medicine Hat East School to talk to the
East Elementary School.

The reason that would like you to come and speak is because we have started our Month of Munsch in our
kindergarten class this year in March. When we are in the Month of Munsch we read one of your books to our
kindergarten class each day and in the past, they have enjoyed this very much so this year we would like you to
come speak towards the end. The book that we will be reading that day is Angela’s Airplane, so we will also be
having an airplane theme occurring when you arrive. We will also be having make cardboard and toilet paper roll
airplanes as one of their art projects throughout the day. And if you are willing, we would like if you could help
present the project to them.

We have the children in our care from 8:30 am – 3:00 pm and you would be allowed to use as much time as you
would need to interact with all the children that day. We will have the children in the story time space in the
library where they will be able to sit comfortably on the floor and all be able to see you. You will be able to sit or
stand in the area as you please. When it comes time to take a break or do the art project, the children will be
moved from the story time area to the upstairs table space. Where you will still have room to either sit in a chair
or stand. While here there will be a chance for you to make a presentation at the Medicine Hat Public Library. The
expenses that we will cover will be your plane tickets to and from Medicine Hat, your hotel room, and
transportation to and from the school. Grades 1-5 will also be allowed to attend the presentation part of the time
you will be here so there could be a maximum of 60 people present. We request that in your reply that you send
us your other requirements and the fees you will charge for being present.

We look forward to getting your reply by March 3rd and hope that you will be able to attend our Month of
