REQUEST TO CONDUCT HEALTH SCREENING FOR YOUR STUDENTS
Mpact Lane Consult in collaboration with Digital Health Access would like to request for the
opportunity to screen your students on basic student health issues around the eye, nose, mouth and
ear for professional advice.

Why health screening?

Basic research conducted indicates that most students in our schools have one condition or the
other that might affect their learning and other capacities now or in the future. Yet, they are not
screened for any health defect regularly until it is almost too late. This means that many of the
students might be walking around with various ailments that could have been prevented at the
initial stage if it had been noticed earlier.
We would like to engage in an arrangement with your school in order to periodically visit and
examine your students for any health challenge they might have for professional advice. For us, it
is very important that young people and their parents/guardians be given the opportunity to trust
that their health will not fail them when they need it most. That can be prevented now if we can
develop a system or program for the students to be tested periodically and the report discussed
with student’s parents/guardians.

Proposed plan
The plan is to arrange for medical professionals to screen your students every term or year to
capture data and monitor the health status of your students throughout their school year. If the
student is diagnosed with any major defect, they would be referred to a healthcare centre to discuss
the report with parents in order to determine how it can be dealt with.
These tests would be conducted on school premises and the report released and discussed with
only the parent(s)/guardian of the student. During the process, counselling would also be
conducted to help with students who might have challenges with learning disability or any other
minor psychological issue.

Each student would be required to pay between Gh¢15.00 – Gh¢50.00 depending on the number
of test they want done.
