The above prices are based on full time study i.e. 15 credits per semester. Price per credit unit is NPR 2,795 and
Non-Degree price per unit is NPR 1,295. The prices include an exam fee of NPR 3,000. Most classes are 3 credits;
the translated philosophy classes are 6 credits. The above fees will vary depending how many credits you take.

* All the above tuition fees are inclusive of one time fees (where relevant), payable in the first se-
mester of study. These include KU Registration (NPR 22,500), application fee (due before July 1st,
for graduate programs due before March 1st: US$ 35). The above rates are subject to yearly increases
of approximately 5-7%.

†The homestay fee includes US$100 placement fee which is paid directly to RYI, however it does
not include homestay fees of NPR 22,500 to be paid directly to your host family. For the Translator
Training Program the summer home-stay fee is included in the overall program tuition fee, and RYI
will pay the host families directly.

Additional Information:

Summer Program

The Summer Program tuition is due in full two weeks after acceptance into the
program. The Summer Program price includes a welcome reception and farewell
dinner, tuition, and day trips within the Kathmandu valley.

The homestay option is available for all programs, however colloquial language
students will be given preference in the case of limited availability. Homestay
includes accommodation, and breakfast and dinner.

The tuition fee for the Buddhist Studies Intensive Program includes all retreat-
expenses at the end of the course (this does not include personal items or food
and drinks purchased outside of the retreat center).

Translator Training Program

The Translator Training Program price includes: registration fees, tuition, visa
fee, two months with a Tibetan Homestay family as well as all course materials.

RYI wishes to emphasize that, while every effort is made to keep this information up to date,
prices are subject to adjustment in light of changes in regulations or policy.
