Fear is a powerful emotion that controls so many people.

You can remove that fear from your mind and life,
though. Start by using meditation techniques.

If you aren’t familiar with meditation, it is just a simple way to harness your mind and energy so that you can
focus it on more positive, productive things. Fear has a way of scattering your thoughts, so meditating can be
extremely helpful in alleviating fear.

First, it is important to remember when meditating to focus on anything that is calm and peaceful to you. The
purpose of meditating is to bring your thoughts under subjection. Focusing on something that makes you feel
calm will help you do this.

Second, practice saying positive affirmations as you meditate. Repeating these positive affirmations helps you
focus on the good things again. It focuses your attention on the things that make you feel happy and peaceful. It
distracts you from thinking about the things that cause fear in your mind.

Third, allow yourself to be placed in fearful situations for a small amount of time. By placing yourself in that
situation where you feel afraid, you help yourself to see that there is actually nothing to be afraid of.

Finally, visualize yourself in a fearful situation. Imagine yourself being calm through the entire thing. Place
yourself in that place in your mind. Go there and find out exactly what makes you so afraid. As you begin to
feel that fear rising, start to imagine yourself being calm. Focus on that calming image, if you have to.

Fear is a powerful force and you are the only one who can overcome it.

How To Remove Fear From Mind

Fear is the number one thing that controls many people. When you become consumed by fear, you lose all
control of yourself. Fear controls every part of your life. If fear has consumed your mind, you might feel….

 afraid to leave your home.

 afraid to talk to people you don’t know.
 afraid people you do know will judge you if they knew the truth.

Fear just builds constantly on itself until you reach a point where you are totally out of control and you don’t
even know how you became that way. The good news is, fear can be conquered. It will take diligence and hard
work, but you can do it. Here are some tips to help you start removing fear from your mind.

Redirect your thoughts.

The first step is to change your way of thinking. You can talk yourself into, or out of, many things. When you
can learn how to change your thoughts, you will begin taking the first step to remove fear. Become consciously
aware of your thoughts, when you begin feeling fearful, and the role your thought process plays in this. As you
become aware of your thoughts leading you to a fearful mindset, you can start actively redirecting your thoughts
to positive, happier things that will reduce—or eliminate—the fear you feel.

Face your fear head-on.

Often times, the thing you fear will never come to pass. Because you have trained your mind to allow negative
thoughts snowball into a mindset of fear, you often shy away from fully living your life. It is important, then, to
attack these unfounded fears by meeting them head-on. When you do this, you will discover two things. First,
your fears are not based on truth or evidence. Second, the only thing holding you back is…YOU.

Practice a more positive attitude.

The quicker you retrain your brain to start speaking positive thoughts to yourself, instead of terribly negative
ones that stirs up that inner fear, the faster you will see a recovery. Shaping a better thought process for yourself
will help in reducing your fears. To do this, though, you have to actively change the way you think. Creating a
more positive attitude with positive affirmations is a great place to start this process. As you repeat positive
thoughts to yourself every day, you will eventually begin to experience a shift in your mind and thought
process. For example, if you are fearful of driving a car because you are afraid you’ll be in a car accident, you
need to learn how to reframe that negative self-talk to create a more positive attitude for yourself. Using
positive affirmations can help you pinpoint your fear and change the way you think about driving to make it a
more positive experience.

How Long Should I Meditate?

QUESTION: I’m new to meditation, but I’ve heard about its powerful benefits. How long should I meditate?

ANSWER: The length of meditation varies from one person to another. It is basically at the discretion of each
person. The best way to know how long you should meditate is to start practicing it and see what length of time
works best for you.

For many people, a twenty-minute meditation each day is plenty enough. For others, thirty minutes to an hour
works best. The key to productive meditation is finding the fine balance that works for you.

If you are new to meditation in general, you will likely find that you can only meditate for five or ten minutes at
a time. The biggest reason for this is because your mind and body are likely not used to slowing down and being
quiet.

Another issue many people have with meditating at first is that their mind wanders. If you are having trouble
focusing and staying centered, this isn’t uncommon at all. Simply tell yourself (in your mind, not out loud),
“STOP!” Make a greater effort to not allow your mind to wander.

Once you have practiced meditating for a short amount of time on a daily basis, you will slowly become more
relaxed and be able to quickly segue into that quiet state of being. You will find that your mind does not roam
as it did in the beginning. You will also probably find that you become calmer and relaxed throughout your
meditation.

Eventually, the more you meditate, the longer the span of time will be. You may even come to learn that you
enjoy meditating for 20 or 30 minutes two times per day. There really is no set time limit. It is totally up to your
personal preference. The key to meditation is to allow your mind and body to relax.

Use Your Subconscious Mind to Remove Fear

People the world over are talking about the supernatural powers of the subconscious mind. Unfortunately, many
are clueless about such a phenomenon. One hardly has the time or inclination to give a thought to the
functioning of the mind.
Many wise men who have walked this planet have advocated the supremacy of the human mind over the
mundane aspects of life. The power of mind is such that it can alleviate the anxiety caused by certain activities.
The immense power of the subconscious mind can be effectively used to remove the fear of failure in any
venture of yours.

For instance, if you are an entrepreneur starting your own Internet business or home-based business, you are
likely to have a thousand questions arising in your mind about the future of the business activity you have taken
up. When you aspire to become a successful entrepreneur, you need to either possess or develop the following
qualities:

o Hard work, no matter what hurdles come your way.

o Determination to reach your goals.
o Dedication toward your work.
o Positive attitude to accomplish anything.
o The right mindset for overall success.

The right mindset is indeed the most crucial requirement for launching a business of your own. You need to
overcome a common fear that prevails among entrepreneurs - fear of failure. Unless you eliminate this fear from
your mind, it's certain that success will evade you. The power of the subconscious mind is so great that it
enables you to carry out the things that you desire.

It is really possible to create and live the life you want with the help of the power of the subconscious mind.
Inspiration, courage and wisdom lie deep within each of us, but we fail to recognize them. These virtues can be
brought out and put to great use in developing your business to a very high level and in turn, your life by using
the sub consciousness.

The magical powers of the subconscious mind free you from the limitations of fear and frustration. To carry on
a business, online or offline, you should be equipped with courage and confidence to succeed. If you are afraid
that you will have to face failure and hesitate to do the required activities, it is likely that you'll really land up in
an adverse situation.

What you think, so you are. It is your thoughts and feelings that determine your mind's condition. Your sub
consciousness controls your thought processes. Keep telling yourself that you are going to gain success in your
business venture and you will. If you are optimistic, you are going to be successful. If not, it's going to be the
other way.

The sub consciousness imposes its thoughts on the conscious mind, enabling your inner desire to become a
reality. Anything is possible by tuning your sub conscious mind and you must not underestimate its power. This
truly powerful tool is capable of guiding you in all kinds of circumstances.

When you recognize its importance and start listening to it, your sub consciousness will help in developing the
fundamental qualities, such as optimism and positive attitude, which are extremely essential to run a business. It
would do you a lot of good to listen to your sub consciousness before you take any crucial business decisions.

By using your subconscious mind, you can overcome your fear of failure and make the most of the business
opportunities that come your way. You can enjoy unlimited financial freedom and live a life free from stress
and worry by believing in the power of the subconscious mind.

Being afraid seems to be involuntary; something beyond your own control. Yet I have said already that only
constructive acts should be involuntary. My control can take over everything that does not matter, while my
guidance can direct everything that does, if you so choose. Fear cannot be controlled by me, but it can be self-
controlled. Fear prevents me from giving you my control. The presence of fear shows that you have raised
body thoughts to the level of the mind. This removes them from my control, and makes you feel personally
responsible for them. This is an obvious confusion of levels.

I do not foster level confusion, but you must choose to correct it. You would not excuse insane behaviour on
your part by saying you could not help it. Why should you condone insane thinking? There is a confusion here
that you would do well to look at clearly. You may believe that you are responsible for what you do, but not
for what you think. The truth is that you are responsible for what you think, because it is only at this level that
you can exercise choice. What you do comes from what you think. You cannot separate yourself from the
truth by 'giving' autonomy to behaviour. This is controlled by me automatically as soon as you place what you
think under my guidance. Whenever you are afraid, it is a sure sign that you have allowed your mind to
miscreate and have not allowed me to guide it.

It is pointless to believe that controlling the outcome of mis-thought can result in healing. When you are
fearful, you have chosen wrongly. That is why you feel responsible for it. You must change your mind, not your
behaviour, and this is a matter of willingness. You do not need guidance except at the mind level. Correction
belongs only at the level where change is possible. Change does not mean anything at the symptom level,
where it cannot work.

The correction of fear is your responsibility. When you ask for release from fear, you are implying that it is not.
You should ask, instead, for help in the conditions that have brought the fear about. These conditions always
entail a willingness to be separate. At that level you can help it. You are much too tolerant of mind wandering,
and are passively condoning your mind's miscreations. The particular result does not matter, but the
fundamental error does. The correction is always the same. Before you choose to do anything, ask me if your
choice is in accord with mine. If you are sure that it is, there will be no fear.

Fear is always a sign of strain, arising whenever what you want conflicts with what you do. This situation arises
in two ways: First, you can choose to do conflicting things, either simultaneously or successively. This produces
conflicted behaviour, which is intolerable to you because the part of the mind that wants to do something else
is outraged. Second, you can behave as you think you should, but without entirely wanting to do so. This
produces consistent behaviour, but entails great strain. In both cases, the mind and the behaviour are out of
accord, resulting in a situation in which you are doing what you do not wholly want to do. This arouses a sense
of coercion that usually produces rage, and projection is likely to follow. Whenever there is fear, it is because
you have not made up your mind. Your mind is therefore split, and your behaviour inevitably becomes erratic.
Correcting at the behavioural level can shift the error from the first to the second type, but will not obliterate
the fear.

It is possible to reach a state in which you bring your mind under my guidance without conscious effort, but
this implies a willingness that you have not developed as yet. The Holy Spirit cannot ask more than you are
willing to do. The strength to do comes from your undivided decision. There is no strain in doing God's Will as
soon as you recognise that it is also your own. The lesson here is quite simple, but particularly apt to be
overlooked. I will therefore repeat it, urging you to listen. Only your mind can produce fear. It does so
whenever it is conflicted in what it wants, producing inevitable strain because wanting and doing are
discordant. This can be corrected only by accepting a unified goal.

The first corrective step in undoing the error is to know first that the conflict is an expression of fear. Say to
yourself that you must somehow have chosen not to love, or the fear could not have arisen. Then the whole
process of correction becomes nothing more than a series of pragmatic steps in the larger process of
accepting the Atonement as the remedy. These steps may be summarised in this way:
Know first that this is fear.

Fear arises from lack of love.

The only remedy for lack of love is perfect love.

Perfect love is the Atonement.

I have emphasised that the miracle, or the expression of Atonement, is always a sign of respect from the
worthy to the worthy. The recognition of this worth is re-established by the Atonement. It is obvious, then,
that when you are afraid, you have placed yourself in a position where you need Atonement. You have done
something loveless, having chosen without love. This is precisely the situation for which the Atonement was
offered. The need for the remedy inspired its establishment. As long as you recognise only the need for the
remedy, you will remain fearful. However, as soon as you accept the remedy, you have abolished the fear. This
is how true healing occurs.

Everyone experiences fear. Yet it would take very little right thinking to realise why fear occurs. Few
appreciate the real power of the mind, and no one remains fully aware of it all the time. However, if you hope
to spare yourself from fear there are some things you must realise, and realise fully. The mind is very
powerful, and never loses its creative force. It never sleeps. Every instant it is creating. It is hard to recognise
that thought and belief combine into a power surge that can literally move mountains. It appears at first
glance that to believe such power about yourself is arrogant, but that is not the real reason you do not believe
it. You prefer to believe that your thoughts cannot exert real influence because you are actually afraid of
them. This may allay awareness of the guilt, but at the cost of perceiving the mind as impotent. If you believe
that what you think is ineffectual you may cease to be afraid of it, but you are hardly likely to respect it There
are no idle thoughts. All thinking produces form at some level.

How to Remove Fear!!!

While I have lots of stuff to write from my own end. I like to give credit to some good materials out there. The
PSITEK Website is a gold mine for me, in terms of focusing on whats important and how to succeed at it.

Here is another article following up to the last one that covers how to deal with removing fear. Its one thing to
say its not good, but how do we remove it from our lives.

Here goes…

Exert from the book “The Power of Thought” Chapter “The Overcoming of Fear” from PSITEK

FEAR is probably the cause of more of the mishaps of life than we imagine. A special protection seems to
shield those who are absolutely without fear. It is a well-known fact that a dog will not attack one who is
completely unafraid of him. My own limited experience of sports is that if one is entirely without fear, then the
more reckless one may be, the more likely is it that one comes off without even a scratch.
It is my belief that the lions in the den into which Daniel was cast were unable to hurt him, simply because he
was without fear. It was only necessary for the Lord to take away entirely his fear, in order to make Daniel
perfectly safe. Proof of this is to be found in the experience of missionaries. When they have faced mobs of
armed cannibals, thirsting for their blood, fear has been taken away from them so utterly and completely, that to
advance unarmed towards what seemed certain death was just as easy as meeting a flock of lambs, or attending
a prayer meeting. In no such case was the missionary harmed.

But an entire absence of fear is not only a protection from mishaps in dangerous sports, from fierce animals and
murderous men, it is also a protection from infection and contagion. Napoleon visited those sick of the Plague
in order to show others that the disease could not affect one who feared it not. I once knew a man who used to
visit smallpox and plague hospitals, but who never contracted either disease, although he used to kneel down
and pray by the patients’ bedsides, inhaling microbes by the million. His only safeguard was his thought: he
refused to admit that the microbes could harm him; in other words, he trusted in God, and so was entirely
without fear. He demonstrated the absolute truth of the 91st Psalm.

Thus we see that in one sense it is not microbes that cause us to fall a prey to epidemic diseases, but that a
thought of fear is the deciding factor. Two people are exposed to the same infection. One contracts the
complaint, the other is unaffected. Why? You may say that the one who escapes is more robust and hardy, but
this is not always so, for frequently the strong are taken and the weak are left. You may say, further, that the one
who escapes possesses greater powers of resistance. Just so, but is not this largely due to the mind? It is the one
who is most positively minded who is immune.

Granted then the necessity for and desirability of, an absence of fear, how are we to overcome our hereditary
failing? Most of us harbour fear of some kind; for although fearless in some things we may yet have other fears
lurking in the hidden caverns of our mind. We may be physically brave and yet have fears for our business, our
profession, or our employment. The gaunt spectre of unemployment, of bankruptcy, of failure to make good,
may haunt us night and day. On the other hand, we maybe unafraid of these things, yet fear disease, infection,
contagion, draughts, etc., so that every fresh epidemic fills us with apprehension and dread.

How then are these fears to be overcome? In exactly the same way as you would calm the fears of your little
child who might awaken during the night and be afraid of the dark. You would first say “There is nothing to be
afraid of.” You might then reason with them, showing him that the room is just the same when it is dark as
when it is illuminated, and that the things he fears are merely in his own mind. Then if this is not sufficient you
say: “I will stay with you and will hold your hand so that you will know that everything is all right, and that
there is nothing to fear.” Feeling your presence with him, and being quite certain of your power and willingness
to protect him, he soon falls quietly to sleep.

Now we have to treat ourselves in exactly the same way. We are very complex creatures and can actually speak,
argue, and reason with our own selves. We proceed in exactly the same way as we did with our little child. First
of all we say to ourselves: “There is nothing in all the Universe that can make me afraid.” This is not a mere
empty boast, it is a statement of Truth. We do not mean by this that we, ourselves, are so strong that we can
meet and overcome all the powers of evil.

What it means is that we, having put ourselves on the side of the angels the angels have put themselves on our
side, in response, so to speak. It means we have come into alignment with the inner harmony of the Universe.
the Divine Order which nothing can destroy, and over which the forces of disorder have no power whatever. It
means that behind us is all the power of hidden Divine Forces pushing us on to the glorious consummation
designed and planned for us in the depths of the Divine Mind and the Heart of Infinite Love.
Therefore, we can next use the words of Edward Carpenter: “All the Divine Forces hasten to minister to my
eternal joy.” While doing this we can feel and realise that it is just as we state; that there are actually Divine
Forces behind us pushing us forward to a fuller and richer life, and raising us to higher and better things. If you
find these statements or invocations too advanced, high down or “fantastic” for you, you can quite easily choose
words of your own that will be effective in your case. But the same process should be followed. It is better first
to use the negative and next the positive.

But, like our imaginary little son who was afraid of the dark, we may feel the need of something more. He
wanted us to stay with him and hold his hand, so that he might feel and realise that we were with him to protect
and guard. In the same way we can call upon and realise the Presence of the Omnipotent and Eternal. There is
One who has overcome the world and beaten all the powers of evil, who has glorified His humanity and opened
up the Way for us by His own self-sacrifice, and He has said: “I will not leave you,” and “Lo, I am with you
always, even unto the end.”

That was an excellent piece.. I really like to focus on positive things and also to share them.

My next post will hopefully go on some bible related topic, maybe the law or the confidence of faith or
thereabout.

Some tips to treat anxiety symptoms may involve a change in some of your own behaviors. In the long run it
would be worth it because if left untreated you will change your behavior in other ways regardless. At least in
this way it will be a conscious choice you made yourself.

One of the hardest things to do is to change our bad habits. Even if we know its for the better we seem to fight it
every step of the way. One anonymous person wrote that; “Bad habits are like a comfortable bed; easy to get
into and very hard to get out of.” Many studies have been done and they all indicate that many people with
G.A.D or Generalized Anxiety Disorder do not know that they have it and so do nothing about it.

Some who do know often wait until they experience a panic attack. Or until the symptoms are bad enough to
cause a problem at work or in other important areas in their lives. Nearly all panic sufferers experience the
feeling of extreme fear of dying in the midst of the attack. Much of the time people interpret panic attack
symptoms as certain signs that they will lose their lives. Usually through a heart attack or heart failure, and
suffocation from a lack of breathe or choking. These can be some pretty intense experiences.

Here are a few “Tips to Treat Anxiety Symptoms.”

1. We can choose to cope or deal with anxiety or we can modify our behavior to overcome our symptoms of
anxiety, fear, or panic.

One of the ways in which we are able to reduce the fear sensations power over us and our lives is by added
intentional exposure to the fear. By confronting the sensations that we attribute and link to anxiety we can
decrease the power it has over us. This practice is called Interoceptive exposure.

2. Interoceptive exposure is the repeated exposure to feared physical stimuli as well as fear physical sensations.
Some of these practices include breathing through a narrow straw to achieve hyperventilation or “Over-
breathing.” Spinning around in a circle while standing or sitting in a swivel chair. To increase heart rate and
create disorientation.

As strange as it sounds, causing anxiety, fear, and panic sensations has a positive effect on people suffering
from anxiety disorders or panic attacks. Interoceptive exposure exercises are intended to guide anxiety sensitive
people to awareness of their feared experience, and to challenge their understanding of the power those
sensations have over them. These are nothing new when it comes to the history of tips to treat anxiety
symptoms and they get really good results.

3. The best ways to treat anxiety is to be prepared for it. Modifying behavior to effectively cope with stress
which causes anxiety is another way of overcoming your fears. Have a calming phrase or word in place and
repeat it over and over while taking slow, deep breaths until your calm. When you notice symptoms do not
hesitate, treat it immediately.

Most or at least many people who have generalized anxiety disorder and leave it untreated eventually develop
other serious conditions such as agoraphobia.

People with severe anxiety or panic attack symptoms will work their own fears of having another attack up to
such a degree that they fear having one in public. In turn they will often become a recluse. From worry that if
they go out they will experience a potential attack and will be without a quick way to exit and avoid the
situation altogether by staying home.

4. Find others like you who have similar symptoms and have had some success in these matters. Get some
support from those who have been successful. Do not be afraid to ask. Those who have had problems similar to
yours and have overcome them are almost always happy to help others to do the same. In most cases they are
actually eager to help as in this way it helps them too.

These tips to treat anxiety symptoms are just a small sampling of the many techniques that are available. The
trouble is you must find what is right for you as everyone experiences fear and panic in their own unique way. It
is always recommended that you find a good support system of people who can relate directly with some of
your experiences.

How To Overcome Your Fear Of Anxiety Symptoms

Being anxious is one thing but thinking that your about to die because of your anxiety is a different sport
altogether. This I believe is the difference between the normal person and the person living with an anxiety
disorder.

The normal person will experience anxiety just like we all do but shrug it off. Anxiety sufferers on the other
hand tend to wallow in their anxiety because it is accompanied by ten thousand symptoms that make an anxious
person think that death is soon to come.

Although I am skeptical that anxiety disorders are curable, I do believe they are manageable. And one of the
most important things that an anxious person has to do is overcome their intense hold on themselves, overcome
their intense fear of anxiety symptoms and the belief that anxiety will kill you.

I could get real detailed about what the symptoms are, but seriously do you need a reminder? Do you want to be
reminded of the palpitations, slow heart beat, racing thoughts, urgency, skin disturbances, diarrhea, dry mouth,
muscle pain and tension, constant low level anxiety, so and so forth.

It is the symptoms that keep anxious people anxious. Well duh you might think. But really, it is the fear of the
symptoms that is prolonging your misery. In other words if you could manage to either ignore or calmly deal
with the symptoms what would be left? Uneasiness at best or worse – depending on how you look at things.

You would still be anxious but would you still behave like you currently do? I doubt it. You would probably
venture out more, maybe indulge a little more, and maybe even have a little more fun.
So exactly how do you overcome your fear of the anxiety symptoms that dominate your life? For starters you
absolutely must change your way of thinking. You have to reprogram your brain to reject the fallacy that you
have built up over the past months or even years.

The most significant of these self told lies is that anxiety is going to kill you. That it’s going to trigger a heart
attack and drop you at any moment. Although we don’t intend to tell ourselves this and convince ourselves of
this it’s just what is thought.

It’s thought so much in fact that when we have palpitations or other heart disturbance the assumption is that
death is next. But of course this is completely untrue. Panic attacks, anxiety, palpitations, racing thoughts, etc
do not kill people. There is no recorded instance of someone having an anxiety related palpitation and keeling
over as a result.

Of course you should clear yourself medically to rule out any issues that you may have, but once you have you
must train your mind to eject this false truth  that has been created by your anxious state. Anxiety does not, will
not, cannot kill you. Once you accept this reality than managing your anxiety is much more doable.

Are anxiety and anxiety symptoms intense? Hell yea they are, but they don’t kill. Losing your fear of death as it
relates to anxiety should be your starting point. Do this and you will get closer to the old you.

In addition to removing your fear of anxiety related death you also should refrain from fear building. This is a
term I just made up, but it is pretty self explanatory. You shouldn’t get caught in the web of creating fears from
old ones. This is not only counterproductive but it can also lead to new phobias. Do you really want to be afraid
of new stuff on top of all the other stuff?

I had this problem but not for long. I started having weird and fantastic fears that I knew needed to come to an
end. For example, if I left my water bottle at work I would never drink from that bottle again. The assumption
being that someone may have tampered with it, or worst yet poisoned it. That’s right people, poison. That is
outrageous. All of a sudden the janitors are carrying cyanide AND want to kill me specifically. My logical mind
yells from the mountain tops, “no way man”.

Someone once gave me lotion as part of a gift basket. I almost didn’t want it because I felt like maybe the lotion
was tampered with. I questioned the motive for the gift giving. But than I realized that everyone else got the
exact same basket. So I put the lotion on right then and there to prove a point to my anxious mind. The point
was you are out of control and need to be contained.

So now I don’t fear old water bottles or gifts of lotion. But I provided this example because it illustrates what
anxiety can do. And what it can do is build in your mind a set of false ideals that keep you from yourself. The
fears create new and larger barriers between you and your peace of mind. Do not fear build.

If you find yourself creating new fears you should immediately challenge that fear. Why are you afraid? Is there
a legitimate reason for the fear? Or are you simply allowing your anxiety to introduce yet another fear that you
really don’t need and more importantly can avoid?

So there you have it simplicity in a bottle. Remove your death fear of anxiety and do not fear build and you will
overcome or at least manage your fear of anxiety symptoms very effectively.

The next time you are having an anxiety attack or even if you are feeling uneasy challenge yourself to asses the
situation. Am I in real danger? If not than take it from there.

That’s what makes anxiety such a frustrating and overpowering force.  It makes you believe things that aren’t
true, it creates fear, and it suppresses your logical mind. But remember that you have the ability to see through
this veil of fear. Remove the fear of the symptom, become more comfortable with it and you will improve a
great deal.

I am an anxiety sufferer so I would never lie to you and say that this is a piece of cake – far from it. It takes
time, practice, perseverance, and patience. You will be successful sometimes and at other times you will fail.
But don’t get discouraged. As long as you are aware of what you need to do then you have a starting point. Stop
being a victim and get proactive about counteracting the fear. The anxiety is there and may be there to stay, but
you can do a lot about your reaction. And that my friends is my message to you – you can do something about
it.

The symptoms of anxiety attacks begin simply with feelings of apprehension, edginess, lack of concentration,
irritation and feelings that something terrible is about to happen. These are only the preliminary typical
symptoms of anxiety and panic.

The worst of all though is that these symptoms do not simply stop with emotional symptoms they will then
progress and present in very physical symptoms which can be very debilitating and frightening to the sufferer
such as increased heart rate, sweating, hyperventilation or lack of breath, muscle tension and tremors, faintness,
disorientation and finally heart palpitations and chest cramps which leave the sufferer fearing that they might
die as a result of the anxiety attack.

Far too often though the sufferer of these symptoms of anxiety or panic attacks will actually allow the first sign
of any of these symptoms to become a catalyst for the next attack as when they become aware of the first
symptoms, they already begin to enter into a state of heightened anxiety or panic as they begin to already fear
the next attack.

However if one is able to actually change their brainwave programming, they will quickly realize that these
symptoms need not be their enemy and they will soon learn how to use the symptoms of anxiety and panic
attacks as a very effective tool when it comes to preventing the attack itself from happening.

Should you successfully be able to recognize the symptoms of anxiety or panic attacks in their earliest
manifestations and are able to apply relaxation techniques such as controlled breathing, positive visualization or
the Bagha, then in effect you will be able to disarm the attack by preventing your body from going into “fight or
flight” mode before the attack has a chance to take place.

This is but one of the ways which a sufferer of anxiety disorder is able to change the symptoms of anxiety and
panic attacks from being a threat into being a very strong ally in their battle to overcome the disorder.

Symptoms of Panic Attacks and Anxiety Attacks – Methods to Cure

Knowing the symptoms of panic attacks can be a difficult thing to do. Encountering its symptoms can be scary;
you might not understand what is going on and what is happening around. To escape from this fear and the
frightening experience caused due to these symptoms you must know the root cause of this problem and also
know why and what makes this occur in you. Here are some symptoms of anxiety attacks that can make you
understand why this condition occurs and how to notice if this condition takes place.
Shortness of Breath is the common symptom of this problem. You may feel a shortness of breath like when you
get exhausted and tired and can’t breath properly, or like you are going to have a heart attack. It feels like
someone is pushing your chest, this is one of the distressing symptoms of anxiety attacks. You will feel
suffocated. Another symptom is pain in the chest; his feeling is a little scary but is truly uncomfortable and
threatening. You will have a big chest pain at times and it will pain you. A palpitation in heart beats, your heart
may not beat properly as always, it may cause palpitation, which is the another symptom of anxiety attacks.

Sweating is another cause and symptom of this condition. When your body enters the phase of anxiety attacks,
your body might be busy preparing for fighting against it and for this your body might get heated and sweat a
lot like never before this is also a symptom of anxiety. Your mouth may dry again and again, you will feel
irritated; your lips may also look dry and not as moist as always. Shivering and shaking is another symptom of
panic attacks. You may get scared and start shivering with the fear of something; this can indicate you are
facing the problem.

6 Practical and Powerful Ways to Overcome Depression

Here are the very practical caveman therapies for modern men and women.

1. Get outside. Our caveman friends saw lots of daylight; getting up at sunrise and going to sleep at sunset.
Exposure to bright sunlight for 30 minutes a day either through sunlight or a light made for this, helps keep your
internal clock set. This circadian rhythm helps to regulate our sleep/wake cycle and insures a good night’s sleep
which in turn, helps our physical and mental health. Don’t wear sunglasses though; the exposure must come
through your eyes!

2. Aerobic Exercise. Primitive folks had to forage or work in the fields for their food. 30 minutes at least 3
times a week means those ‘runner’s high’ endorphins get released regularly. It’s also a good way to work
through and release stress. You don’t have to run a marathon, just get your heart rate up to your target range –
around 120 to 160 beats per minute depending on your age and condition. Walking works wonders. Get your
doctor’s approval first!

3. Omega-3 fatty acids. 1,000 mg daily. Omega-3’s aid in the brain’s neuron connectivity. Enteric coated
capsules help prevent burping the fishy tasting oil but you can also freeze them. Throw in a good multi-vitamin
and avoid overly processed foods in favor of complex carbohydrates (whole grains), fish, free range meats, &
vegetables and you’re good to go.

4. Sleep. Change your sleep routine so that it’s more conducive to a good night’s rest. Turn your lights down
and go to bed at the same time everynight. Turn the t.v. off. Engage in calming, quiet activities like reading,
taking a warm bath, etc. Avoid caffeine and alcohol. Don’t work late or do other stressful activities that cause
your mind to race. Remember a tired body and quiet mind are the requirements for quality sleep.

5. Socialize. Remember the Amish farmer has his family and community to fall back on for support. There’s no
reason you can’t too. Involve yourself with close friends and family. You don’t have to engage in heavy
conversations about your plight, just have fun. Keep it simple and go to a movie, visit an art gallery or museum,
go to a ball game, grab a cup of coffee or have a meal together. Just be with other people and your feelings of
isolation will fade. Do this face to face (not online!) and do it regularly.

6. Watch your thinking! Anti-rumination strategy is vital to breaking out of depression and other emotional
ruts. Become aware of those times you dwell on the negatives in your life – both real or imagined – and stop
them. It takes work and persistence but if you constantly tell yourself to ’stop it’ when you start to go over and
over the negatives, then you are building a positive habit that will change your life for the better. Whether it’s
the jerk who cut you off in traffic or something a little closer to home, don’t give yourself the luxury of a
negative thought.
