NOTICE

No. RRB/RNC/CEN 03/2018/Medical/Appeal Date: 14.01.2020

Dear Candidate,

After being shortlisted for Document Verification for the posts of Junior Engineers, you appeared for Document
Verification in the office Railway Recruitment Board, Ranchi which was followed by a medical examination at the
Railway Hospital.

However, as per the medical report received from the Railway Hospital, you were not found fit in prescribed medical
category by the three member medical committee.

As per Railway Board’s guidelines the procedure of appeal is as follows :

(i) If any candidate wants to appeal against the decision of the medical committee, he/she should submit
his/her appeal to the Principal Chief Medical Director, South Eastern Railway, Garden Reach, Kolkata OR
East Central Railway, Hajipur as indicated against each within the period of one month from the date of
issue of this letter with due justification. The appeal so addressed to the Principal Chief Medical Director,
South Eastern Railway OR the Principal Chief Medical Director, East Central Railway (as the case may be)
should reach at the following address by speed post or delivered by hand :-

(ii) Such an appeal shall be entertained, only if the candidates produces a medical certificate from a
Government/ Private Doctor of the Specialty/ Specialities in which the candidates has been found unfit.

Such certificate should contain a note that " The Government/ Private Specialist is fully aware of
the physical and visual standards set by the Railways for the particular medical category and that
he/she is aware of the fact that the candidates has already been declared unfit according to these
standards during medical examination conducted by an appropriate medical board comprising of
three Senior Railway Doctors appointed by the Government in this regard".

The certificate should bear the photograph and mark of identifications of the candidate duly
attested by such a Government/ Private issuing authority. Such an issuing authority shall also
clearly mention his/her full name, designation, address etc. and his/her Medical Council of India/
State registration number.

If you wish to appeal against this medical verdict, kindly send your appeal as indicated above to Railway
Recruitment Board, Ranchi by 13.02.2020 with the following three documents:-

(a) Appeal with justifications duly signed by the candidate indicating his/her Roll No., Registration
number and date of Document Verification.
(b) Medical certificate issued by Government / Private Specialist as per the format enclosed as Annexure- A.
(c) A Demand Draft for Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) in favour of FA & CAO/ South Eastern Railway,
GRC/Kolkata OR FA & CAO, East Central Railway, Hajipur (as the case may be).

Encl : (a) List of 58 candidates who attended Document Verification against CEN No.03/2018,
but were not found fit in prescribed medical category.
(b) Copy of the format of the Medical Certificate as Annexure-A.
