“The three Idiots”

summary

This story is about two friends Farhan Qureshi and Raju Rastogi who are searching for
their long lost friend Ranchoddas ShamaldasChanchad. During their search they revisit
their college days and recall how their friend Rancho had a huge impact on their lives.
But there is more to Rancho than what they had thought.

Farhan and Raju and Rancho were three engineering students who share in a room of
their school. Farhan studied engineering because this is his father’s dream for him
rather than being a wildlife photographer which is his passion. Raju studied to raise his
family’s fortune and get out from poverty. Rancho studied simply because of his love for
machines and technology, He is different from other students because he is not
watching with the test scores grades and etc. even if he is a top ranking student. With
his different attitude their school director Viru Sahastrabudhhe who the students called
him virus like a computer virus didn’t like Racho

Rancho believes that success in studying is not achieved by memorizing definitions by

textbooks or professors but by understanding and applying the concepts. He believes
that one should follow excellence and not success as success will come itself if
excellence is followed.

However as the three was about to be expelled due to cheating on heavy stormy night
