I am extending my warmest thanks especially to all the students I’m with during
our Work Immersion, who become my companion in every activity we do. For
happiest and for being there to support me and comfort me whenever I have
difficulties during my immersion. I thank them for the friendship and teamwork and
for being their ready to share our own idea to each other.

welcome to has. To all the staff I’m very grateful for having them as part of my Work
Immersion. The skills and kowledge which I have gained throughout my practical
training I prceive as very valuable component in my future career development.

INTRODUCTION

Work immersion is a part of the Senior High School program of Deped which the
student need to have 80 hours of hand -on experiences or work simulation and aims
to train and orients students about the work and their future carrer will undergo to
expose them to the actual workplace setting and to enrich the competencies provided
by the school under the supervision of the school head and the designated. It is type
of skill development where a worker learns how to do the work through hands on
experience.

Work Immersion is one method by which students are exposed with different
work situation designed to give students a opportunity to experience and a chance to
apply the theories and computation that they leaarned from the school. It also helped
the students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills by performing in actual work
setting.

Work Immersion is very important not only to teach students regarding their
chosen career but also to show students the reality about working. The students will
be exposed to the actual work related to the course that they are taking. It also allows
those with no experience to work and to learns at the same time. Work
Immersionhelps trainee to leran about his chosen field and practice what he has
learned from the school. It helps in the building up of the trainee’s competence of
their course, when a students is competent enough, he/she will be able to do things
successfully and. This training develops one’s professionalism in dealing with people.
After the training, the trainee will be able to handle situations properlyand he/she will
beable to know to socialize well with his colleagues. He/she will also ba able to work
well with everyone and he/she will have a good teamwork. Work Immersion also
enchances the critical thinking abilities and discipline of the student conducting his
training in a company. They’re ability tomake sound decsions and evaaluate pertinent
factors well be improve.

Having a proper Work Immersion helps in the prepration of future professionals


for their future jobs. What the students learned in their, Work Immersion even the
little things, can be applied when they are already working.

Mission
To “save lives” by providing the highest level of safe,
immediate response to any emergencies natural or man-
made, provide ambulance transport service and
dependable first aid responders/medical personnel to
clients for referrals to medical institutions, help in the
implementation of Disaster Risk Reduction Management
Laws to prevent disaster and give assistance to the
rehabilitation of its adverse effects.

Vission
To become a competence rescue team in providing a
safe, quality rescue and emergency services,
enforcement of municipal ordinances, information and
education in disaster and risk reduction and
management, trainings and practical knowledge to
individuals, groups and communities to as far as other
local government units.

HISTORY

First named as “Marasat”, it was a former barangay of Cauayan, then Santiago. It


was called the municipality of Yoshisawa under the government of the Japaneses
Imperial Army during the Second World War. After the liberation, it was finally
created and named San Mateo by Virtue of Presidential Executive Order No. 97 on
March 17, 1946 by then President Sergio Osmena. It was proclaimed as the Agro-
Ecological Destination in Cagayan Valley by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo by
virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 1685 dated December 1, 2008.Municipality
of San Mateo, is a 1st class municipality in the province of Isabela, Philippines.
According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 64,505 people.

San Mateo is one of the cleanest town in the region. The administrators
encourage the people of the municpality too use paper bags instead of plastic bags in
line with its claim as an “Agro-Ecological Town”.According to the 2016 Cities and
Municipalities Competitivenesss Council, San Mateo took the 68 th spot overall and
ranked 99 among the first class and second class municipalities in the Philippine.

Day, 01

This is our first day of our work immersion at LGU San Mateo, I felt nervous
because I’m a shy boy but I know where ever I assign God has a purpose, at the first
ma’am Jessica told that I assign in MSWD but I’m confuse, because ma’am Jessica
we assigned in MDRRMO and my co-classmates assigned in PNP, Civil Registrar,
BFP and ACCOUNTING. I also felt excitement when we entired in MDRRMO
office, our first activity is memorize the mission and vission of MDRRMO and we
started to make a christmass tree that made in “banig” with the staff of the
MDRRMO.

Day 02

Today is our second day in our work immersion and I have lot of experiences and
have a knowledge about dondaging. Mr. Bernardino he teach about the first aid and
he also teach other topics like how to bondaging while he taching we need to take
note because, Mr. Bernardino told that after we finish our work immersion we need
to take a exam. In the afternoon we continue making a christmass tree with full of
happiness and cooperation.

Day 03

This day is unforgatable because we practice how to survive a victim that suffer
an accident in the road, we need to rescue and get her to the MDRRMO , this activity
their are 2 groups to perform how the exact procedures in rescuing a victim, honestly
is not easy, bondaging is to hard because you need to follow the pattern to make it
easy to pull out, and after the activity we continue again the christmass tree.

Day 04

In this day we need to adjust because the staff of MDRRMO are shaffle. The
staff in the morning will be shaffled in the evening, I felt sad because I already love
them but I need to accept and show a respect for the new friends/teacher but we back
in 0 we felt not comfortable because we our not close but I know someday we
become friends, Mr. Webster is the one of our new teacher/friend he teach again the
first aid and other topics, after that we continue doing again the christmass tree.

Day 05
Today is our 5th day and we practice again how to rescue a victim inside the
MDRRMO, this activity they give an injury and fracture of the victim that we need
to apply an first aid kit. And Mr. Webster see our performance if it is good or need
improvement but all of the groups are have mistakes in bondaging but its ok no
body’s perfect. Like what I read before the more you fail the more you learn.

Day 06

This morning Sir Webster teach how to survive a victim in using CPR and the
ABC / air, beat, and circulation, I’m lucky because ma’am Jessica assign me in
MDRRMO because I have already lots of experiences and lots of knowledge, this
afternoon we our starting decorating the christmass tree to make it different and
become beautiful.

Day 07

This day is a presure day because, we performed the CPR actvity and we our all
glad because we are all passed in this activity, this activity is hard so I inspired who
are the staff of the MDRRMO I have learned that if the victim drunk more water
inside the river it is hard to survive.

Day 08

In our 8th day, we surprice a surprice quiz/ we call exam and because of that we
didn’t review our topics that we wrote in our notebooks, but in that time our teacher/
Mr. Bernardino put a name in the sanggunihang bayan party list and the name of our
Vice Mayor and Mayor and that is the reason why no one can got the perfect score.
At the afternoon we are now memorize the mission and vission at the back of
classmates but infront of the staffs, I’m glad because I perform well, I performed well
because I do my best with a love.

Day 09

Our 9th day, I have many already learned and that knowledge I can applied it in
reality someday but suddenly tomorrow is our last day, this day we finish our topics
and finish decorated in christmass tree and after we decorat we play basketball in new
coverde court. We want to felt the happiness even though tomorrow is our last day

Day 10
This is the day that I felt sad because, whether we like it or not this day is our last
day, I and my classmates contributes to buy a food as serve as thanks for the
MDRRMO office after we eat we ask if its okay we caption a pictures to have a
rebembrance and put it in our documents.I would like to think because of our work
immersion I have many lesson learned and lot of great expirience that I have now.I’m
lucky because, I assign in MDRRMO I feel their love, care, support and they show
that they like we are our child.Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

LEARNIGS
In 80 hour in the field, as a MDRRMO I’ve learned so much already specially in
communiting to clients on the phone. When our coordinator is not available to answer
telephone calls, we are ask by them to answer calls and just down notes for important clients
and other message. Another thing that I’ve leam is the places and routes in other places.

The company that we conducted ou Work Immersion is a sociable type of workplace.


We are comfrotable chatting with our offices. Theyare professional but if there are spare
times to speend, they love to tell their stories to us. They are so welcoming that even our
country manager plays around and joke for us.

This immersion is really an unforgatable experience to me and to my classmate, we


hope, we can meet our officers again in some places. They are not just there to observe us but
they are always ready to help and answer questions from us with both proffessional. I feel
like they are like just my older brother or sister and I can laugh around with them, I can have
fun hile spending my 80 hours of immersion. Some might say that this word immersion is
boring because of the fact that it is only two weeks, but for me, even if it takes place in a
short amount of time, I love every single moment of it.

CONCLUSION
It is better to fail in orignality than to succeed in imitation.Work Immersion
served as my based for pursue my dreams. This training gave me an inspiration to be
more serious and focused in studying, through Work Immersion I experience there
was fun at the same time, I can say that it is also somewhat boring because some of
our time was wasted by sitting. I was encouraged to do more efforts in my studies .
Since I was given some idea about the work of an auditor in the company where I
conducted my training , I am inspired to be like them.

After a few weeks of immersion, I have realized some things that will really be
useful for my future. First, punctuality is very essential because in this simple way,
you can how serious you are to your job, next would be patient. Patient when it come
to the tasks that they’re going to give you, as well as the times that you’re just
waiting for the next task that will given to you, even if you already got bored waiting
for nothing.

Despite the short period of training in MDRRMO, it was still a very meaningful
one. The training enriched my confidence created a foundation of being a good
employee someday. Work immersion made me realize that it is really good to know
what you’re doing and do it with love. As a students, what I can do for now is to
learn and be inspired.
