TESTING & TRIALS

All powders behave differently, so often a transfer
test is the best way to size the equipment and design
the system. Various testing options are available to
ensure your product application will perform to your
expectations:

Testing at your Facility

Rent our powder handling equipment and perform
your own product tests at a pace that suits you, in
the real world of your own production facility. Select
Powder Pump sizes are available to you for rigorous
testing.

Testing at DDPS Facility in Charlotte, NC

Send us a sample of your product* and we will do
a complete product test to confirm it will transfer to
your expectations. If you do not wish to be present
for the test, you can refer to your documented test
results, including details about how successfully
the system conveys your material, at what rate, and
how much air the process consumes. You can also

DETAILED ENGINEERING
Regardless of whether your powder handling solu-
tion is a standard system or a completely custom-
ized one, DDPS will work with your requirements to
create a solution that is right for your specific needs.
Once the fundamentals of the solution have been
determined, our powder handling team will provide
a concise project execution plan that starts with a
detailed P&ID and evolves into a 3D-modeled layout
of your system complete with valve, electrical, and
instrumentation specifications. This phase of the
project involves continuous communication with you
to ensure particular process requirements are taken
into account.

FABRICATION & ASSEMBLY

The engineering plans will be brought to life as our
project team handles all of the fabrication and as-
sembly steps. Individual components are built and
inspected then brought together in our assembly shop.
Temporary wiring is used when possible to check and
verify that all controls are working properly. The system
is completely assembled prior to shipping to proactively
troubleshoot any issues, fix them, and ensure all com-
ponents function satisfactorily.

FACTORY TESTING
Once assembled, we will perform Factory Accep-
tance Tests on new equipment and systems to en-
able quicker installation and start-up. These tests
allow you to witness a full inspection to ensure that
the operation of the system and access to various
components are what was anticipated during the
design phase. Once the FAT is complete, the system
is packaged for safe transfer to your facility.

INSTALLATION & START-UP

SUPPORT
Once your system is ready for delivery, our team
of technicians will work to get it installed and
commissioned in your production plant quickly
and easily with minimum disruption to your op-
erations. SAT’s are perfomed after the system is
installed with all the permanent wiring, piping and
supports are in place. They are typically run with
your specific process to further ensure equipment
safety and quality. DDPS also provides additional
technical support for troubleshooting issues that
may arise throughout the lifecycle of your equip-
ment. A global network of service technicians are
on call to perform maintenance and repair visits
in a timely manner to keep your plant up and
running; And if you need any replacement compo-
nents, we have a variety of spare parts stocked to
provide quick delivery and minimize downtime.
