FIERLE ARREST TRANSCRIPT

[KNOCK ON THE DOOR OF THE

RESIDENCE OF REBECCA FIERLE
BY MARION COUNTY, FLORIDA
DEPUTY SHERIFF]
FIERLE: Hey!
Deputy: Hello, are you Rebecca?
FIERLE: I am.
Deputy: I’m Deputy Young. What’s
your last name?
FIERLE: Fierle-Santoian.
Deputy: Yeah, I wasn’t going to say
that.
FIERLE: I know. Right? (laughs)
Deputy: I have a warrant for your arrest.
FIERLE: Yes, I was talking to my
attorney today and my plan was we were
supposed to go down to Hillsborough to
do a walk through. That’s what we were
promised by FDLE when we um . . . .
Deputy: They called us and said that
they have a warrant and come arrest you.
FIERLE: Great! Which is basically the
opposite of what they were telling my
guy because, like I said, I’ve already
talked to the bail bondsman in
Hillsborough. We were told they were
going before the judge ten and noon
today and then the FDLE guy called my
guy and said, “Well, there’s no, they
haven’t been in front of the judge yet.”
Interesting. They assured me that they
would cooperate. Imagine that.
Well, I’m not a flight risk. I’m not going
anywhere, so you don’t have to worry
about that.
You can keep it (hand cuffs) up front [if]
you want.
Deputy: All right. Like I said, I’ll put
these on the front. You’re cooperative.
FIERLE: Yeah, absolutely. I’m not on
meth. (cracks up really hard)
FIERLE: This has been an ongoing thing
since last year.
I’m a mess (laughs heartily)
Deputy: Well, I’m not . . .
FIERLE: No, I know you’re not an
asshole.
That’s when the fun starts.
(FIERLE ENTERS THE DEPUTY’S
CAR)
FIERLE: Thank you!
