About the use of the installation information clear program (cleaner)

Introduction
A cleaner is a piece of utility software that clears a variety of installation information, which is stored when PC software
(USB driver, SDT-Viewer, and SDT diagnosis software program) is installed onto the PC.
Installation problems can be solved by re-installing the PC software after the installation information has been cleared.
Precaution
If this cleaner is used when installation problems have not occurred, software (PC software) which has been installed
correctly will be uninstalled. Be very careful with its use.
After the cleaner has been used, be sure to re-install the relevant software (the software for which the installation
information has been cleared).

NOTE
The software for which the installation information is to be cleared is different for each cleaner (three types
in total).

Before use
Types of cleaners
Cleaner for USB driver (WinRTUSB_Cleaner.exe)
Clear the installation information for the USB driver that has been installed, by executing "WinRTUSBDriver.exe". This
cleaner is used when the following problems occur.
The "Installation completed screen" is not displayed after the execution of the installer program for the USB driver
"WinRTUSBDriver.exe". Reference: Page 3
PC screen (Communication error) is displayed. Reference: Page 9
Cleaner for SDT-Viewer (SDT_ViewerInstaller_Cleaner.exe)
Clear the installation information for the SDT-Viewer that has been installed, by executing "SetupSDTViewer.exe". This
cleaner is used when the following problems occur.
The "Installation completed screen" is not displayed after the execution of the installer program for the SDT-Viewer
"SetupSDTViewer.exe". Reference: Page 5
Cleaner for SDT diagnosis software program (SDT_ImageInstaller_Cleaner.exe)
Clear the installation information for the SDT diagnosis software program that has been installed, by executing "SDT
_ImageInstaller.exe". This cleaner is used when the following problems occur.
The "Installation completed screen" is not displayed after the execution of the installer program for the SDT
diagnosis software program
"SDT_ImageInstaller.exe". Reference: Page 5

Operating procedure for the cleaners

1. Close all applications running on the PC.

2. Double click the execution file for the cleaner.

The program is executed and the installation information is cleared automatically.

CAUTION
The cleaner to be used will differ, depending on the nature of the problem.
Be careful not to make a mistake with the file name.
Do not use the PC during the execution of the program.
"Execution window (command prompt)" is displayed briefly when the program is executed.
The screen is closed automatically when the installation information has been cleared.

Execution window (command prompt)

3. Re-install the software for which the installation information has been cleared by the cleaner.

NOTE
Refer to the section on installation procedures in this manual for information regarding the installation of
each type of software.
Reference: Page 3 Installing the software for your PC (Chapter 1 Installation/Installation of the SDT diagnosis
software)
The software to be installed will differ, depending on the cleaner used.

When the cleaner for the USB driver has been used:
Re-install "WinRTUSBDriver.exe" onto the PC.
When the cleaner for the SDT-Viewer has been used:
Re-install "SetupSDTViewer.exe" onto the PC.
When the cleaner for the SDT diagnosis software program has been used:
