Absenteeism in school is the habit of staying away from school.

It is a truant behavior that

negatively can affect the academic performance of a student. It can affect many aspects of

students’ learnings by resulting to have a failing grades because of some task that they missed

out to passed or omitted to do. It also gives a negative outcome in every examination that they

undertake because they didn’t understand or they don’t have any idea about the topic.

Most of the student who failed to attend on their school classes has many reasons. Sometimes a

student has many facing problem on their personal life, like; family problem or financial

problem. But based on the result that the main reason why a student fails to go to school is

because of laziness. Student felt lazy because they think that there are many school works like;

paper works, more on assignments, project and task that there subject teachers will be given to

them or one more thing why they felt lazy it is because they are lack of rest and tired of thinking.

A student who always making absence will be resulting to absences in many topics. Based on the

result, a student who always absent in attending on his/her classes find ways to cope up or follow

some late topics or task that they failed to study by asking their classmates for help regarding to

the activities they have missed. They follow up some task or topics that they’ve miss by take a

chance to make it and passed the activities that they didn’t do or reviewing the notes of there

classmates to follow on their discussion

There many reasons why a student has a desire to make an absence. As a student we know that

reasons because we have an experience of being absent in class. But based on the result that most

of the students that has an urge to make an absent in school has a reason that according to them

they think that attending in on their classes is a leisure time, for them there’s nothing to do in

some subject. In their perceptions that its fine to be absent because they think that there’s no new
topic there’s no task that their teacher will be given to them. One more thing why a student has a

desire to make an absence is because a student experiencing problems or an emergency situation.

Students who committed absences can be resulting to have a failing grades. Based on the result

that there many effects of absenteeism in students’ academic performance. Student can receive

low grades that will lead to failed in different subject, they can miss different topics or task that

their teacher tackled, and they are cramming because of late requirement to be passed.
