BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Mobile legend is created by China developer in Moonton Technology Co.
Ltd and shanghai mulong network and technology Co., Ltd on July 11, 2016.
Mobile legend bangbang, a game designed only for phone, has two opposing
teams to defend the fort so as not taken over by the opponent. ( Moonton,
Mobile Legend, 2016 ) Mobile legend is very popular and in demand from
various circles from teenagers to adults. This game is very popular as many as
10 million accounts are known to have downloaded this game on the Google
Play Store per day. ( Yuan, 2016 )

Online games have both positive and negative effects on people,


especially to students and one of these is addiction, which may lead to worse
problems such as stealing money. They may also become lazy when it comes
to studying and prefer playing the whole day long. Some may even skip in
school in order to have more playing time. ( Sujal Ali Hamzah )

The researchers is conducting this research to know the different ways


and solutions on how to avoid the negative effects of playing mobile legend to
the students. And to know its positive effects and how it helps to enhance the
different skills of the students.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


This research aims to determine the Effects of Playing Mobile Legend in
the academic performance of Grade 11 students of Sto. Domingo National High
School. Specifically it is sought to answer the following:

1. What are the profile of the respondents in terms of:


a) Age
b) Sex
c) Grade level
d) General Average
e) Economic Status
2. What are the Effects of Playing Mobile Legend in the Academic
Performance of Grade 11 students of Sto. Domingo National High School?
3. How does mobile legend affects the academic performance of the student?
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY
This study aimed to know and assist the different ways and solutions in
the Effect of Playing Mobile Legend in the Academic Performance of Grade 11
students of Sto. Domingo National High School.

To Students
This study will benefit the students because they will learn the strategies
on how to avoid the addictive effects of playing mobile legends.

To Community
This study will benefit the community because they will know the negative
effects of playing mobile legends so that they can educate their children in an
early age and they can limit the time of using gadgets of their children and
focus on their studies.

To Teachers
This study will benefit the teachers because they can use it as a basis in
educating the students about the negative effect of playing mobile legends in
their academic performance in school.

To future researchers
Future researcher’s will benefit in this study because they will be having
an idea on how to start their studies and be their basis to be a productive
leaders.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATION


This is conducted to evaluate the effects of Playing Mobile Legends in the
Academic Performance of Grade 11 students of Sto. Domingo National High
School. The respondents are the grade 11 students of Sto. Domingo National
High School, Sto. Domingo, San Manuel, Pangasinan, Academic year of 2019-
2020.
