Mr. Alfred M. Nortes is a grade school teacher. He pursued his profession

because of the advises that was given to him. He was an Industrial Education
graduate. He wants to work on offices but the elders advised him to pursue
teaching because he has the potential to teach and the teaching is a lifetime
profession. He had difficulties in finding a position to teach when he is applying
because there are no available vacancies. He wants to teach in high school
because that was the grade level of the course he is aligned to, but he failed. He
had some experiences teaching in private schools, he also had volunteer
teaching and substitutions while waiting for the position. Mr. Nortes didn’t
gave up, when the K – 12 Curriculum was implied, opportunities open their
door for him and gave him the position of teaching Grade 3. But the problem is
the adjustments that he had to make because his specialization is in high
school but the job given to him is to teach grade school.
The lessons inside the interview with Mr. Nortes is to be patient when you
are applying and never loose hope because you have the opportunity to be
hired in a private school. This will be your stepping stone to gain more
experiences and knowledge about the profession. Another one is you have to be
respectful in every person ahead of your position when you are in the field. It is
fine if you have the modern approach of respect but the essence should be on
it.
There are some philosophies that Mr. Nortes these are: (1) respect people
inside and outside the field; (2) patience should be practiced everytime; (3)
experience is a great opportunity for every one.
The interviewer completely asked all of the indicated questions for the
model teacher. Maybe the questions are asked clearly and accurately because
the answers of the model teacher are very rich and meaningful as if he wants to
share his experiences in a brief explanation.
The interview takes place in a faculty room. The whole surroundings are not
that visible because the camera focuses on the interviewer and the model
teacher. The only part that can be seen is the place where all the papers are
dumped. Aside from that, the walls have decorations and charts. The room has
a yellow paint and I can feel warmth even if I only watched the interview.
