Sea accidents are commonly caused by the so called “ Human Error “ for the crews
lake of knowledge and training as well as the carelessness of shipping companies to
ensure that those who serve in ships have sufficient knowledge and skill to carry out
their main duties efficiently. It is however ,the responsibility of the individual to make
proper use of this knowledge and training and to alert from carelessness.
Facilities dealing with accidents available on ship are varied and limited. It is
therefore imperative that each member of ships crew be adequately trained and well
disciplined in safety and safe working practices ,to insure that these requirements
are strictly observed all the time. ( 25 ).
