I. Overview
Promoting Healthy Lifestyle

Lifestyle refers to a particular set of habits we do. A positive lifestyle can help
us maintain good health. It can lessen the risks of acquiring diseases.

Using the invention kit Microbit, the students will create a device that
promotes healthy lifestyle

Duration: 15 sessions (with 11 meetings at the ACE Hub)

II. Learning Outcomes

ACE Standards for Students:

● Students solve problems using their understanding of interrelationships in

systems
● Students make informed decisions about the development and use of
technology across a range of contexts.
● Students practice safe and ethical communication and collaboration through
appropriate media in different settings.

ACE Competencies:

● Design a data collection tool to gather appropriate information for a task

● Present collected data to support (or refute) a claim

*Unplugged - session introduces coding and/or computational thinking concepts using physical
manipulatives before students apply these concepts during plugged sessions

*Plugged - requires a laptop, ACE device, tablet, or a combination of these
