Types of monitor:

1. Cathode ray tube (CRT):

John B. Johnson and Harry Weiner Weinhart created the first CRT to
use a hot cathode, turning it into a commercial product in 1922.

Cathode ray tube, a CRT is the electron beams in a monitor

that move across screen either interlaced or non-interlaced, hitting
phosphor dots on the inside glass tube. A phosphorescent screen is
used to display images. It modulates, accelerates, and deflects
electron beam(s) onto the screen to create the images. The images
may represent electrical waveforms (oscilloscope), pictures
(television, computer monitor), radar targets, or other
phenomena. CRT monitors and televisions were widely used around
the world until the 2000s, when LCD technology became more
popular and began to replace CRT. Today, CRT is considered mostly obsolete.

These are wildly popular in China, Latin America, Asia and the Middle East. While the big TV
manufacturers have stopped making their own CRT-based sets, some are still selling them. Sony, for
example, still lists a wide range of CRT TVs on its Middle East & Africa website.

2. Light emitting diode (LED):
