WRITING TASK

(AN ESSAY)
It is very common today to see young children and teenagers with their electronic
devices. I totally agree with parents who limit the time that their kids spend on the internet.

First, I am against the idea that for teenagers, gadgets like mobile phones or computers
distract children, so they do not pay attention in class, and this increases the probability of
failing. I think they prefer spending their time on the internet to taking maths lessons.

In my opinion, teenagers are changing their way to socialise with other people. Before
social media became popular, children did activities like practising sports or eating out with
friends. Now, they are at home online, they do not have real friends, and all of them are behind
the screen in the same situation.

For them, I am convinced by the argument that their concept of friendship has
changed. Before “Facebook” appeared, a friend was a person who helped you and you helped
him, you had fun together, and you were real friends. Nowadays, a friend is who gives you
likes, and you have friends according the quality of the photos you post on.

In conclusion, parents have to discuss with their sons, make them understand their
point, and come to an agreement with them. It is necesary to make they take our point, if not,
the will not leave their devices.
