The city: Paris is an exciting city but it's very expensive. There are lots of amazing
places to see in Paris. I visit museums and art galleries in my free time so I'm never
bored.

Where I live: I've got a room with a lovely French family here in Paris. Serge
Dupont is an architect and his wife Mathilde is a teacher. They've got a daughter,
Sophie. She loves skateboarding and playing tennis. They live in a quiet
neighbourhood but there is a metro station ten minutes' walk from their house so it's
easy to get to the university.

What I do here: I like my European Studies course at the university very much. It's
a really interesting course and the teachers are all very helpful and friendly. My
favourite class is European History. I think I'd like to study more American history
when I go back to Boston next year.

Who I know: I've got lots of new friends here in Paris. My best friend is Paolo. He's
24 and he's from Rome in Italy and he also lives in my house with the Dupont
family. We love going to the cinema together to see French and Italian films. After
the films we usually go to an Italian restaurant for a pizza. We'd like to see an opera
while we're here in Paris but the tickets are very expensive.
