Mosquito repellents are substances that help people avoid mosquito bites, it is

formulated for use on bare skin. Also, these are dissimilar from insecticides in that the

latter are used to kill insects. Thus, the purpose of this study was to identify if the

hypotheses were related to the result of this study. The effectiveness test was used to test

the candle to know its capability in repelling mosquitoes. The result of the research

indicated that the hypothesis, if there is a possibility that the combination of lemongrass

and garlic as a candle will be effective in repelling mosquitoes, was proven through the

test used by the researchers. Also, the effectiveness of the candle is based on the size, the

larger the candle, the better. In this findings, the researchers concluded that by the use of

combining the lemongrass and garlic in a candle, it is effective to use as a natural

mosquito repellent.
