Procedures:
Obtain permission to videotape students. Videotape a practice lesson to acclimate students to the camera. Set up the
camera to include you and the students if possible.
Choose a lesson where you are teaching so that you will learn more about your teaching. Videotape the lesson,
including a portion of student work time.
Complete the rating form and written response items. Submit the form and lesson plan to your supervisor by the
assigned due date.

I would continue to use the Plicker survey as I find it to be a reliable way of gathering class data and an engaging
way of conducting a review. Furthermore, students feel encouraged to ask questions and it can be used as a
competitive game if the class wishes to use it that way.
Describe changes you would make if you were to teach this lesson again.
My most major change would starting the lesson with a hook of sorts. Circumstances for this day forced me to begin
class with a test of Central Asia, which dampened student engagement. I would also utilize my Plicker in a more
competitive manner as several students in this class are highly competitive individuals. By keeping track of the card
numbers and points, more students may have been more engaged.
What goal(s) would you set for yourself based on this analysis?
1: Try to draw out students that prefer to ask questions during class.
2: Develop creative, engaging, or relevant hooks for lessons.
