GV Road Project Site Visit Update in Brief

(Giddalur Ch. 322.800 Km-Vinukonda Ch. 213.00Km section of NH 544D)

1. Physical progress: ~ 25.64% against planned 26.40% till 31.10.2019 and


~29% till date as updated by EPC contractor and SPV.

2. Financial progress: total expenditure incurred till date is Rs. ~ 157 Cr.
including fully utilization of 10% mobilization advance released by NHAI
against total EPC cost of Rs.678.69 Cr (this as per the discussion with EPC
contractor and SPV).

3. Project milestones as schedule G 

 Milestone I (20%) - achieved 


 Milestone II (35%) - target date 11.01.2020

4. Payment status from NHAI (i.e. 40% payment from authority for HAM
projects).

 Against milestone-I i.e. after 10% physical progress - 8% of 40% EPC


cost payment received from NHAI.

 Against Milestone -II i.e. after 30% physical progress- planning to submit
bill for 8% of 40%EPC cost to authority in next week (physical progress till
date ~29%. This is updated by contractor and SPV)

5. Land status: ~86% till date land has been acquired. Remaining will be
available in next 3 months since compensation is pending from authority to
landholders. 

6. Forest Land: No forest land

7. Structures:

ROB (2 nos. 1 new):

 GAD of new ROB has been approved. GFC also have vetted from IIT-
Varanasi. GFC approved by IE and Authority however, approval is
pending from Railway authority and expected to get approval in
one and half months (15 days back drawings have been submitted
for approval).
 Existing ROB will be rehabilitated and work has not been started yet.

Flyovers (3 New):

 construction of one flyover located at Ch. 274.315Km has been started


and construction of abutments/piers are in progress.
 Construction of other two flyovers have not been started yet.
Culverts (both pipe and box) and Minor bridges: Construction work is in
progress.

8. Bypasses (2 nos. new):

 One bypass ~ 1 km constructed out of 2.180 Km stretch


 Construction of another bypass is pending. Only obstructing
structure demolition completed

9. Service Road and slip road:

 Only ~500m stretch up to WMM level constructed out of total length of


11.87 km. Other locations construction has not been started yet
due to LA and utility shifting activity.
 Slip road (8.724Km) construction has not started yet.

10. Plants (2 base camps + 1 school building i.e. Devaraju Gattu camp hired for
staying).

 2 HMP Plants (Kunta camp and Pusalapadu camp) capacity/production


-120 TPH
 3 Batching plants: 2 are at base camp locations and one is located at
starting point of the road. Capacity/production:30 CumPH
 Crusher: 2 nos. and located at base camp locations. Capacity/production
200TPH and for DBM works aggregates are procuring from outside
supplier.

11. Labs: 2 labs located at each base camp and performing routine tests on daily
basis as standards and specifications.

12. Toll plazas (2nos): Construction of TP1 is in progress. TP2 not started yet

13. Truck lay byes and rest areas- construction has not started yet

14. Resources*:

Manpower: total ~ 400 nos. including staff EPC, SPV and sub-contractors-
Machineries: adequate
Material: Production and stack is adequate.

*Details will be shared by LIE in its progress report.

15. IE feedback: Not meet, however IE report will be shared by SPV

16. Overall Progress:

 MCW – Satisfactory. DBM completed up to ~65 km out of 112.397


 Service road- very slow only ~ 500m completed up to WMM out of 11.87
Km. slip road construction also pending and not started yet
 Structure- structure work progress is very slow.

17. Major Concerns:

 LA, structure demolitions within ROW along with trees cutting are still
pending (however, Competent Authority for Land Acquisition (CALA) has
instructed to concerned departments to complete this process of pending land
acquisition within 3 months)
 Utility shifting work is pending
 ROB - all GFC's approvals are pending from railway department.

18. Additional Details:

 Bypass length ~ 16Km (part of NH- 565 -Hydrabad Tirupati Road) not in
scope of concessionaire
 Proposed Hyderabad Expressway is coming parallel to GV road. LA of
same is in progress
