A researcher wanted to study The Influence of Cooperative Integrated Reading and

Composition Methods in Teaching Narrative to Improve Student’s Reading Comprehension. The
object of this experiment is the students at second grade of SMP 1 Banda Aceh. In this research,
there was one class taken which consist of 30 students that divided into 6 groups. The data was
obtained from the student’s test sheet. The data are collected by using quantitative design that’s
pre-test and post-test

Independent variable :Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition Methods

Dependent variable : Student’s Reading Comprehension

a. Experimental group : students at second grade of SMP 1 Banda Aceh

b. Control group: pre-test and post-test design
