Prove the following statements. Try to prove in as many different methods as


possible. (Assume n ≥ 1, n ∈ N unless specified otherwise)

1. n2 + n + 1 is odd for all n.

2. If every natural number greater than 2 is a sum of two primes, then every odd
natural number greater than 5 is a sum of three primes.
