Explanation :

Oil palm, (Elaeis guineensis), African tree in the palm family (Arecaceae), cultivated as a source
of oil. The oil palm is grown extensively in its native West and Central Africa, as well as
in Malaysia and Indonesia. Palm oil, obtained from the fruits, is used in
making soaps, cosmetics, candles, biofuels, and lubricating greases and in processing tinplate
and coating iron plates. Palm kernel oil, from the seeds, is used in manufacturing such edible
products as margarine, ice cream, chocolate confections, cookies, and bread, as well as
many pharmaceuticals. The cake residue after kernel oil is extracted is a cattle feed. The plant is
also grown as an ornamental in many subtropical areas.

The oil palm bears a single stem and reaches about 20 metres (66 feet) in height. It has
many tiny flowers crowded on short branches that develop into a large cluster of oval fruits some
4 cm (1.6 inches) long. When ripe, the fruits are black with a red base and feature a single
oily seed known as the kernel. For commercial oil production, the outer fleshy portion of the fruit
is steamed to destroy the lipolytic enzymes and then pressed; the resulting palm oil is highly
coloured because of the presence of carotenes. The kernels of the fruit are also pressed in
mechanical screw presses to recover palm kernel oil, which is chemically quite different from the
oil from the flesh of the fruit.

The American oil palm (Elaeis oleifera) is native to Central and South America and is
sometimes cultivated under the erroneous name Elaeis melanococca. Unlike the African oil
palm, the trunk of the American oil palm creeps along the ground and bears flat leaves. Both the
American oil palm and the maripa palm (Attalea maripa) are used to obtain palm oil in some
areas. The oil of the American oil palm was probably used for making candles by the early
American colonizers.

THESIS : I  am  sure  that  you  know  that  smoking  harms  your  body.  Then  why  do  you  continue smoking? Maybe
you do it because you haven’t really become conscious about all the effects that smoking has. There are a lot of reasons
why you shouldn’t smoke. Some of them are that smoking affects your health, that you spend a lot of money on
cigarettes, and that when you smoke you are not respecting people around you.

ARGUMENT 1 : The first reason why you shouldn’t smoke is that smoking affects your health. If you  smoke,  your
physical  condition  will  be  negatively  affected,  so  it  will  be  very difficult for you to succeed in sports. Also, smoking
produces lethal diseases like cancer and reduces the length and quality of your life. Maybe you don’t notice all the physical
effects of smoking immediately, but you surely will be sorry one day.

ARGUMENT 2 : The second  reason why  you shouldn’t smoke is  because of all the money  that you spend on it. Maybe
you start smoking only when someone offers you a cigarette, but there will be a day when you will feel the need of a
cigarette. By this time, you will pay whatever to smoke, and each time you will smoke more, so you will spend more money.
All  the  money  you  would  spend  on  cigars  could  have  be  spent  in  something better, don’t you think?
ARGUMENT 3 : The last reason why you shouldn’t smoke is out of respect for the people around you. When  you smoke,
you not only harm  yourself, but  you also harm all the people around  you. So  you mustn’t be selfish;  you should at least
avoid smoking in front of people  who  don’t  smoke.  Also,  many  people  don’t  like  the  cigarette’s  smell,  so  they won’t
enjoy your company. Would you like that?

RECOMMENDATION : I have said just some reasons of why you shouldn’t smoke, so I hope that now those of you who
smoke are able to think a little and try to make a smart decision. In addition to all the reasons I’ve said, I would like you to
think about how much you love yourself and then whether you want to continue harming yourself. Think also about all the
people  who  love  you,  like  your  family  who  doesn’t  want  to  see  you  suffering  or sick. If you decide to continue
smoking, what a pity. But if you decide to stop smoking, congratulations! Remember that "If you can dream it, you can do it.

Discussion :

Fast food is any food that can be served in instant. They keyword is “Fast”. So, whatever the menu is,
when you can make it quickly, it can be considered as fast food, even if it is as simple as an omelette. So, can we
consider fast food healthy? The answer is, absolutely you can. But, are all fast food healthy? The answer is no.
This is the reason why some people tend to deem fast food as junk food with all negative stuff in it. Let’s take a
closer look to this matter.
Instant recipe has been around since the beginning of time, but the term “Fast Food” gained its first public
recognition in 1950s after it was added in Merriam-Webster dictionary in 1951, 21 years after a giant fast food
company, McDonald’s, was founded. Ever since that time, a lot of people, especially in urban area, think of fast
food as an answer to their needs. The busy lifestyle in urban area has made a lot of people to have a very
limited break-time that they often too busy to just sit and wait for their meal. For these people, fast food
became a brilliant idea to save them from wasting their time but they can still keep their belly full in the same
time.
In contrast, some people do not like fast food that much. Some of them can even be called as anti fast
food person. They don’t like fast food because they believe that fast food is not healthy for our body. The
cooking process is one of the reasons why they believe that it is actually not good. Some people believe that it
takes more than several minutes to cook a proper food. This quick process of fast food making seems to good
to be true for some people that they believe that the food might be undercooked or, if they force it to be done
quickly by exposing it to extreme heat, it has lost its nutrient. Therefore, consuming it

Review :

I absolutely love the Harry Potter series, and all of the books will always hold a special place in
my heart.
Evaluation 1
I have to say that of all of the books, however, this was not my favorite.
Evaluation 2
When the series began it was as much of a “feel good” experience as a huge mug of hot cocoa.
The stories were bright, fast-paced, intriguing, and ultimately satisfying.
Interpretation
Order of the Phoenix is a different kind of book. In some instances this works. You feel a whole
new level of intensity and excitement by the time you get to the end. I was truly moved by the
last page. Other times the book just has a slightly dreary, depressing feel. The galloping pace of
the other books has slowed to a trot here, and parts of it do seem long, as if we’re reading all
about Harry “just hanging out” instead of having his usual adventures. Reading in detail about
Harry cleaning up an old house, for example – housekeeping is still housekeeping, magical or
no, and I’m not very interested in doing it or reading about other people doing it.
A few other changes in this book, the “rear world comes much more in to play rather than the
fantasy ^universe of the previous books, and Harry has apparently been taken off his meds. I
know that he had a lot to be grumpy m this book, especially with being a teenager and all, but
the sudden change in his character seemed too drastic. He goes from being a warm-hearted,
considerate person to someone who will bite his best friend’s heads off over nothing. It just
seemed like it d’dn t fit with his character, like he turned into a walking cliche of the “angry teen”
overnight.
Summary
The “real” story seemed to happen in the last 1/3 of the book, and this part I loved. I actually
liked the ending and yes, I cried as sad as it was. It packed a punch and it made me care about
the story even more. Still a really good book, with some editing it would have been great.
