I am writing to apply for the Licensed Mental Health Counselor Position you have available in
St.’s Petersburg Florida. I recently graduated with a master’s degree in psychology and I am now
seeking a career that I have been interested in my entire adult life. I chose this field as my career
path because I have always had the passion for wanting to help others who are not fully
understood.
I believe that one of my strongest characteristics is, I love to be surrounded by and communicate
with people and help those who need it most. I tend to be very empathic and have always found
behavior to be so interesting and how much it can tell us about our patients. I believe my next
step would be to acquire a Mental Health Counselor position and begin to exercise my personal
experience and education to those in need.
Psychology covers an array of ideas and topics from developmental beliefs, cognitive, and to
behavioral health. My studies throughout course of my degree have included all these main
topics with a focus on behavioral, developmental and mental health. I believe my deep interest in
this field and my education have prepared me to join a team of professionals where I can
contribute and learn simultaneously.
I am excited to obtain a position with McNulty Counseling and Wellness and respectfully request
