Session 1 : Arrival and Greeting

Strategy 1:
1. Do greeting with song  “Hello!”

2. Talk about classroom rules:

 Speak softly
 Listen when others are speaking
 Work quietly

3. Teacher asks the children about the day of today and the date. After that, teacher asks
the children how the weather of today is. Rainy? Sunny? Windy? 

Strategy 2:
 When student arrived, teacher should greet students at door by saying out the student’s
name and making eye contact with children.
 Morning check. When children arrived, teacher should check their mouth, hand and
temperature of body before their parents leaving. 
 Teacher can use a friendly non verbal greeting such as handshake, high five or thumbs-
up and also give a few words of encouragement.
 After that, teacher can ask how their day is going.

● By using visual cues. Show children about picture schedule to notice children what
they need to do next. The picture schedule can be arranged to follow the sequence of
the day. Each time the children move from one activity to another, children can refer
the picture schedule by pointing to the schedule.

Strategy 3:

Strategy 2:
 Art
-Finger print, foot print, art collage(creates their own art collage by using pieces of paper with
different colour)

● Play dough
-Use flour to make dough together with children, different dough in different colour. 

● Blocks
-Provide blocks for children to express their creativity.

● Music
-Let them play the music instruments, can make their own music.

Strategy 3:
● Art
- Coloring, collage art, origami, play dough. To express their ideas and creativity.

● Block
- Provide blocks and also can provide some toys (cars, toy people, zoo and farm animals). To
support children’s development.

● Reading
- Provide more books for children to read. To support children’s cognitive development.

● Music
- Provide different musical instrument for children and show their creativity.

● Puzzle
- Provide puzzles of different difficulty for children to develop their problem solving skill.

 Dramatic

- Provide some family toys, dolls and puppets to pretend, imagine, and be creative.

1. Fine motor corner


 Cutting playdough with scissors
children can use plastic scissors to cut the playdough.
 Buttoning
Teacher can provide a T-shirt with buttons so that children can learn buttoning.
 Play dough.
Children can roll, squeeze, and pinch the playdough.
 Lacing beads.
Children can grasp different sized of beads.

2. Gross motor corner


 Balance beam
Children will develop balancing.
 Tunnels to crawl through
Children can crawl through the tunnel and discover what waits on the other
side.

3. Sensory activities corner


 Texture boxes
there are some materials with different texture inside the boxes. For example,
soft and fluffy rug, scouring sponge, aluminum foil, abrasive paper.

4. Literacy corner
 Letter fishing games
Teacher provide alphabet cards with magnet and fishing rod with magnet for
children and encourage children to catch the cards.
 Letter matching tray activities
Teacher provides upper and lowercase letter cards and mahjong paper that are
written with upper and lowercase for children and encourage children to match

the cards according to mahjong paper with upper and lowercase letter.
 Letter magnet on magnet board
Teacher provide alphabet with magnet for children and encourage children to
arrange them on magnet board. 

5. Pretend play corner


 Dress up
Teacher can provide different kinds of dress like policeman, fireman, nurse and
so on for children to pretend play.
 Theme
Teacher can also provide different kinds of materials according to the theme.
For example, if the theme is barber, teacher can use recycle materials to make a
sink for washing head, plastic scissors, and some empty bottles as shampoo. 

6. Dramatic play corner


 Puppets
Teacher can provide different kinds of puppets for children and encourage
children to tell a story by using puppets.
 Dolls
Teacher can provide some dolls for children to play.

7. Blocks play corner

Children can build anything they wants by playing lego.
 Wooden block
Teacher can provide some wooden blocks and some other materials for children
in order to help children to create their creativity to play and build.

Session 3: Restroom (count how many children before go and after go)
Strategy 1:
1. Sing Line up song to let children go toilet.

Strategy 2:

1. Sing Line up song to let children go toilet. (melody of “If you happy and you know
it”)

Strategy 3:
1. Before going to restroom, teacher should tell children that they need to line up first and
then go to the toilet one by one. Then, they need to wash their hands after toileting.
When children line up, teacher should calculate the number of children before going to
the restroom. Teacher call children to wear their shoes then line up again. Teacher need
to calculate the children again. After reached the toilet, teacher tells children go to the
toilet one by one.  Once all the children have finished toileting and washing their
hands, teacher should tell all the children to line up and start counting children. Then,
teacher lead children go to the class.
2. Children in the class and wait for their turns to go to the restroom. Five children in a
group and line up to go to the restroom. After the five children came back, teacher call
the another five children to go to the restroom. While waiting for the children to come
back to class, teacher can sing together with children.
Sing the song to let children line up and go to the toilet.

Session 4: Clean up

Strategy 1:
1. Teacher rings the bell and ask children to clean up. Ask children to clean up their
things into their bags and put aside.
Strategy 2:
1. Before clean up, use timer to remind children they have to clean up after the ring rang.
For example, teacher can set 5 minutes and tell children after 5 minutes they need to
clean up. 
2. Sing transition songs. For example, teacher can sing clean up song with children while
children are cleaning up the things.

3. Create Kid-Friendly Storage for Toys

Place removable picture labels on drawers and bins to help kids learn where everything
goes. Have your child either draw or cut out of magazines pictures of specific items
(blocks, puzzles, games) that go into each one. Under the picture, neatly write the name
of the item. When everything has a rightful place, it makes it that much easier to put
them away.
Strategy 3:
1. Before clean up, teacher rings the bell one time and remind children they have only 5
minutes to play and after 5 minutes they need to clean up.
2. Teacher rings the bell two times and asks children to clean up.
3. Teacher can sing the clean up song.

Session 5: Rest time for 1-2 minutes


Strategy 1:
1. Teacher informs the children now we are going to rest. Please close your eyes and rest for
1-2 minutes.

Strategy2:
1. Ask children close their eye and have a rest for 1-2 minutes
After the time is end, and ring the bell. Ask children to take their bags and line up.  Ready for
they to going home.

Strategy 3:
1. Dim light is allowed. Encourage children to close their eyes and relax themselves.
2. Play some soft music to children to help them to relax themselves.

Strategy 4:
1. Teacher informs the children now are the time to rest and let the children close their eyes
and have a rest for 1-2 minutes.
2. Teacher plays the soft music.

3. After the time end, teacher rings the bell and ask children to wake up.

Session 6: Going home


Strategy 1:
1.Sing good bye song
Now it’s time to say good-bye,

1. Before going home, ask children what we need to prepare for next day. Then, teacher
greet children by saying “Thank you, children” and the children need to say “Thank

2. Teacher can sing “goodbye to you” in “Happy birthday to you” melody.
