A Detailed Lesson Plan in Mother Tongue II

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, pupils are expected to:
1. Identify verbs in a culturally manner in sentences and paragraphs.

It’s good to hear that!
So let’s start up our morning with a rap
entitled “Mapisan nga Pamilya”. (Pupil’s will rap)
(The teacher will post it on the board.)
Mapisan Nga Pamilya

I- Ang akon mapisan ng pamilya,


Nagasinako lang kada aga;
Sanday Tatay, Nanay, Manong kag Manang,
Tanan may iya nga ginaubra.

II- Si Manang naghimos it amon linugban.


Si Manong nagapanglimpyo it amon ugsaran;
Si Nanay nagapreparar it among pamahaw,
Si Tatay nagapakaon it among anwang.

III- Malipayon kami sa pagbinuligay;


Matawhay kami nga naga istar sa amon baeay,
Ginadayaw ro amon nga manami nga batasan;

4. Motivation
Now, children do you want to play a
game? This game is called “Box Relay” (Pupil’s will listen to the instruction)
As you can see I have here a box. This
box contains different pictures. All you
have to do is to pass the box to a person
next to you while the music is playing. If

the music stops and you’re the one


holding it, then you are going to pick one
picture and tell us if what can you see in it
or what they are doing in that picture.

1. Presentation of the Lesson
Based on the pictures that you have seen
a while ago, what do you think is our I think our lesson for today ma’am is

2. Discussion
Children, I want everybody to meet a new
friend.
Do you know her?
Yes ma’am. She is Dora.

She is Dora, but she is not alone, she has
her friends the map and bag pack with
her.
But don’t you know class; Dora wants to
go to her grandmother’s house to visit her
but
before that, she is having trouble in her
homework about identifying verbs in the
sentences and paragraphs. Would you
like to help Dora and her friends?
I know you are all willing to help. Yes, ma’am.

Alright! Let’s start this adventure.

Verb is an action words.
For example, dance, jump, clean, walk
and everything that shows an action refers
to a verb. (Pupil will give examples of verb.)

Now that you all have knowledge about
our lesson for today, let’s play another
game. The name of this game is entitled
“Pick-and-Match”. The direction is easy,
all you need to do is to pick a picture or
object inside Dora’s bag and match them
according to the action showed.

I will group you into four groups based on
your row. Each group will answer different
activities about our lesson today. I will
give each an envelope and inside the
envelope is the direction.
All you need to have is cooperation for
this activity. The group who will
accomplish the task fast and correctly will
be announced as our winner and will
receive a prize from me later.

you do and see in the playground. Give Yes ma’am.

IV. EVALUATION
Draw a flower with circle in the middle and six petals around it. Write in the
