DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN ENGLISH 2

At the end of 50 minutes, 100% of the learners will be able to:
1. Identify the common action words and use them in retelling stories,
conversation and the like,
2. Appreciate the importance of verbs in a sentence,
3. Construct sentences using common verbs.

“A DAY AT THE ZOO”


One day, the class of grade 2, with their
teacher, decided to go the zoo. Little did
they know, they are about to see different
animals in their respective habitats.
First, they go to the play of snakes. A big
snake crawls to the tree where it lives. Next -The learners will listen carefully.
they go to the place of elephant. An
elephant eats food with its very long nose.
Then, they go to the lake of fishes. A big fish
swims in the lake. After that, they go to the
woodland of the monkeys. A baby monkeys
carefully climbs on a tree. Finally, they go to
the den of lions, The lion roars its loudest
voice.
That day, the grade 2 pupils were
enjoying all they long until it is time to leave
at the zoo.

D. Presentation of the Lesson

tells an action. It tells what someone or tells an action. It tells what someone

sentences. It tells the doer’s action,
event or state of being. A sentence
cannot work without an action verb.
