Overall assumptions
 The net metering service in Italy

 This mechanism allows to deliver electricity produced

by plants into the grid and to withdraw the same
amount of electricity when it is needed and the plants
are not working, using the grid as a sort of “electricity
tank”.
 The service entitles the applicant to get a yearly net
metering contribution that is expressed in €. This
contribution refunds the producer for part of the costs
incurred for withdrawing electricity from the grid.

(1) Power plants up to 200 kW exploiting renewable sources 
commissioned after 31st December 2007 
(2) high efficiency cogeneration plants up to 200 kW
(2) high efficiency cogeneration plants up to 200 kW
(3) power plants exploiting renewable sources up to 20 kW
