Micro Threadforming Screws

Three-Lobed

Trifix 1
The most widely used of the three-lobed threadforming screw range. It is by
far the most popular thread profile suitable for applications into plastics, mild
steel, aluminium and other materials. TR has supplied millions of pieces of this
general-purpose thread that has provided trouble-free fastening solutions.
See Page 42 and Page 43.

Trifix 2
For direct fastener applications into thermoplastics, the Trifix 2 thread profile
has many advantages. It will give increased torsional strength over a Trifix 1,
but limits the material flow resistance in application, offering an ideal fastener
solution to plastics with softer characteristics. See Page 44 and Page 45.

Trifix 3
This three-lobed threadform is specifically designed for application into
thermosetting plastics and super-engineered brittle plastics. The special thread
is composed of 30° and 60° of included angle and triangular body. Its 30° of
sharp thread reduces stress on the female hole to prevent cracking. It also
has excellent resistance to loosening under vibration or shock movement.

Trifix 4
This threadform has the same pitch as a machine screw so after initial use
in the application it can be interchanged with a machine screw. Available in
Pan and Countersunk head. Enquiries welcome.

Trifix 5
The feature of this threadform is that it has four angular recesses on the
circumference on each thread. The benefit of the thread design is that the
material fills the recess to create a locking effect that holds the screw in position.
• Maintains maximum effect regardless of temperature changes
and stress relaxation
• Completely resists loosening under vibration
