Beamsplitter and Output Coupler Coatings

Beamsplitter coatings provide partial transmission and

reflection at 45° angle of incidence. Output coupler 36XX 190 - 250nm
coatings provide partial transmission and reflection at
0o-20o AOI.

Three different standard beamsplitter coatings are

offered corresponding to three different center wave-
length ranges. The graphs show the performance of
each of these coatings at a sample wavelength and
reflection/transmission split at 45° incidence.

To order a beamsplitter coating, specify the operating

wavelength and incident polarization as described on
page 50. The last two digits (XX) of the coating design 30XX 250 - 2100nm
number specify the nominal transmission at the center
wavelength. Standard transmission values and their
corresponding codes are tabulated below.

VLOC can also produce beamsplitter and output

coupler coatings with different R/T ratios and at angles
of incidence other than 0o or 45°. Contact our sales
