1. Planning→ Determining the policies, procedure

Controlling → Involves controlling and managing changes to the project schedule

2. Task dependencies is the nature of the relation ship between two task. There are
common type of task dependencies such as Finish To Start, Start to start, Finish To
Finish, Start To finish.
3. Critical Path on a project → The series of activities that determined the earliest time
by which the project can be completed. It is the longest path through the network
diagram and has the least amount of slack or float.
4. PERT→ it can be used to estimate project duration. PERT applies the critical path
method or we can say CPM to weighted average duration estimates.
5. PERT weight average = optimistic time + 4*most likely time + pessimistic time

6. There are main components of Gantt Chart Such as


Date – It allow project managers to see not only when the entire project will begin
and end, but also when each task will take place
Task - Tasks are listed down the left side.
Bars - This helps ensure that every sub-task is done on schedule so the entire project
will be completed on time.
Milestone - Displayed as diamonds (or, sometimes, a different shape) at the end of a
particular taskbar.
Taskbar - While many sub-tasks can be completed fairly quickly, there will be plenty
of times when you will want to see at a glance exactly how your project is coming
along.
Yes, Usually project manager use Gantt chart to make the project is more clear
7. To shortening a project schedule we CPM (Critical Path Method)
The main advantage of crashing is shortening the time needed to finish a project, it
often increases total project cost.
Disadvantage : it can increase cost and actually lengthen the project schedule.
8. Milestone is a marker in a project that signifies a change or stage in development.
Milestones are powerful components in project management because they show
key events and map forward movement in your project plan.
9. Critical chain scheduling assumes that resource do no multitask or at least minimize
multitasking but CPM is a network diagramming techniques used to predict total
project duration, many project fails to meet schedule expectation when they use
Critical path analysis.
10. Project management software helps to develop a WBS, which serve as a basis for
creating Gantt Chart, assigning resources, allocating cost and performing other task.
