What is ScholFin?
ScholFin is a scholarship search engine which helps students to find
perfectly matching scholarships in which they are eligible in 3 clicks!
 Mega-Scholarship

1. What is ScholFin?

a. For students: ScholFin is a scholarship search engine which helps

students to find scholarships and education related funding, in just 3
clicks! The total worth of scholarship on our portal is 9,458 crore which
can be availed by a vast number of 10 crore students in India.

b. For Organizations/trusts : ScholFin helps organizations to launch

a scholarship, create application forms, accept online applications,
conduct tests, and reward scholarships to the most deserving or needy
student.

Achievements:

1. Secured 1st position in Startup Weekend powered by GOOGLE

for Entrepreneurs.
2. Awarded the title of “The Next Big 100 Company” by prestigious
HAY Group.
3. Startup mentored by Ex Managing Director of Global Logic
India, Mr Shashikant Chaudhary.
4. Selected at “Top 25 innovative startups“ by IIT Delhi.

2. Details of meeting with SIO Nagpur

Date of meeting - 8th December, 2015

Location – CIVN, 3rd floor, VNIT Nagpur

Agenda of meeting - Introduction of workflow and scope of both

organizations

Conclusion : The meeting started with the introduction of SIO. We

understood the work process, structure and agendas of SIO. We came
to a conclusion that SIO is a student focused organization which helps
students in guidance, career counseling, education funding and
scholarships. SIO also works closely with government organizations to
suggest and frame rules for the benefit of society.

This was followed by introduction of ScholFin. ScholFin is a young

startup initiated by Final year students of VNIT. They themselves faced

problems while searching for scholarships on internet. Hence, ScholFin

was built. Students have not realized that internet could be a medium
to find their perfect scholarship as this data though available online, is
scattered and unorganized.
Students will have to take the pain of searching through many
scholarships online to find the ones they are eligible for, and even in
case they do find one, the application process is so tedious that they
lose hope just by looking at the application form and guidelines.

3. Proposed Co-ordination plan

ScholFin has a perfect solution for problem faced by needy and

meritorious students i.e. searching for scholarships and funding
opportunities.

The vision of ScholFin and SIO intersects at a point where both

organizations want to help these students to overcome the burden of
financial constraints. We both believe that the technology and
internet can be successfully utilized to solve many complex
problems of society.

a. How can ScholFin help SIO?

1. ScholFin will train and educate the members of SIO about the
education funding scenario which includes information on National and
International scholarships, trusts, college specific and company
sponsored scholarships, Education loans, government scholarships and
student schemes available in India. The session will also include on
how to use the Scholfin website (www.scholfin.com) in the most
effective and useful way so that it is easier for students to find
education funding opportunities in which they are eligible and can
apply.

This will help these members of SIO to disburse the information to

students in a very effective and efficient manner.

2. ScholFin will also provide power point presentations, PDF and DVDs
to these representatives which they can use in seminar to bring
awareness among students.

a. How can SIO help ScholFin?

Our aim is to help students through use of Internet and technology.

The above mentioned initiative will definitely help ScholFin to grow its
reach and bring scholarship providers and students on a common
platform.
