unique and have specific start and ending are known as Projects. Also, projects are progressive
in nature. For projects we need to have a certain goal and objective because without it there is
no project.
Now we’ll see some examples of projects and operations and analyze why are we considering
them as projects or operations.

The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metrobus is a 22.5 km (14.0 mi) bus rapid transit system operating
in the Islamabad Rawalpindi metropolitan area of Pakistan. Construction of the bus rapid transit
system began on 28 February 2014 and was completed by June 2015, with 60 buses initially
plying on the route. The construction project was awarded to Habib Construction Services
which is one of the largest construction companies of Pakistan and have worked on several
other mega projects previously.
The Thar Engro Coal Power Project (Thar-ll) is a coal-fired power plant under construction in
Tharparkar District, Sindh, Pakistan 25 kilometers from the town of Islamkot near the village of
Singharo-Bitra. The project is being developed as part of the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor by
Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (a joint venture between the government of Sindh and Engro
Corporation) and China Machinery Engineering Corporation in the Thar Block-II of the Coalfield. The
project started in 2014 and completed in 2019.
The One Belt One Road (OBOR), the brainchild of Chinese President Xi Jinping, is an ambitious
economic development and commercial project that focuses on improving connectivity and
cooperation among multiple countries spread across the continents of Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Dubbed as the “Project of the Century” by the Chinese authorities, OBOR spans about 78
countries. This Initiative is adopted by the Chinese government in 2013 and is expected to be
completed in 2049.
