RELATIVE CLAUSES DEFINING

The man who lives next door is very friendly .( who lives next door tells us which man)

The above is an example. The relative clause tells us which person or thing the speaker
means.

The man is very friendly. He lives next door.

Una oración de relativo aporta información adicional de un elemento que aparece en la

oración principal y permite unir dos frases que tienen un elemento común. (The man=He)

WHICH /( THAT ) for THINGS (para cosas,animales,ideas)

WHOSE FOR POSSESSION ( HIS / HER / THEIR )(para indicar posesión)

WHERE FOR PLACES ( para referirnos a lugar)

WHEN for TIME (para referirnos a tiempo)
