Mr. Sookwa officially began the meeting at 10:30 a.m.with an opening prayer by Ms.Felix

Welcome Remarks​:

Mr. Sookwa gladly took this opportunity to welcome everyone back and wished all
members a productive academic year 2015- 2016. Special welcome was extended to the
new members present, along with a formal introduction of all members respectively.

Nomination for position for 2015-2016 School Year.

Mr Sookwa stated that there was an open post for the position of secretary and
encouraged other members to take up every opportunity that comes so that it becomes a
benchmark towards our future endeavors and the committee.

Ms. Keisha Biscette, representative from the Edu-Care Learning Centre and new member
of the committee, was nominated to fill the position as secretary.
Nominations closed upon acceptance by each member.

I. Open issues

a) Presentation and information for Inter –Special School's Sports Meet and Marathon
(19​th​ March 2015)

Mr Sookwa thoroughly discussed the rules and regulations for the sports and fun meet
2015. He also stressed on the importance of this content. He then encouraged each
member to conduct physical training exercises for athletes before the marathon and
sports meet and also suggested that low populated schools team up with others schools.
b) A copy of the Rules and Regulations along with the Physical Education & Fun
Sports Programme was presented to each member and each programme was briefly
discussed for better understanding.

c) Update on Sports Committee 2 days tour to Saint Vincent on the 6​th​ and 7​th​ of
February 2015

A brief discussion was made concerning the tour to the School For Special
Children in Kingstown, Saint Vincent by Mr. Sookwa . He informed the committee
that everything has been verified and approved by the principal of the school. He
also gave us ideas as to how we can make the event enjoyable and memorable for
the kids at the school. Activities, Donations and souvenirs were discussed.
