1- Capítulo 1 – Filosofia Hermética: “But among these great Masters of

Ancient Egypt there once dwelt one of whom Masters hailed as "The
Master of Masters." This man, if "man"indeed he was, dwelt in Egypt
in the earliest days. He was known as Hermes Trismegistus. He was
the father of the Occult Wisdom; the founder of Astrology; the
discoverer of Alchemy”.

2- Capítulo 1 – Filosofia Hermética: “But there were always a few faithful

souls who kept alive the Flame, tending it carefully, and not allowing
its light to become extinguished. And thanks to these staunch hearts,
and fearless minds, we have the truth still with us. But it is not found
in books, to any great extent. It has been passed along from Master to
Student; from Initiate to Hierophant; from lip to ear. When it was
written down at all, its meaning was veiled in terms of alchemy and
astrology, so that only those possessing the key could read it aright.

theologians of the Middle Ages, who fought the Secret Doctrine with
fire and sword; stake, gibbet and cross”.

3- Capítulo 1 – Filosofia Hermética: “These teachings really constituted

the basic principles of "The Art of Hermetic Alchemy,” which, contrary
to the general belief, dealt inthe mastery of Mental Forces, rather than
Material Elements — theTransmutation of one kind of Mental
Vibrations into others, instead ofthe changing of one kind of metal
into another. The legends of the”Philosopher’s Stone” which would
turn base metal into Gold, was anallegory relating to Hermetic
Philosophy, readily understood by allstudents of true Hermeticism”.

4- Capítulo 2 – os 7 Princípios Herméticos:”Good and Evil” are but the

poles ofthe same thing, and the Hermetist understands the art of
transmuting Evil into Good, by means of an application of the
Principle of Polarity. Inshort, the “Art of Polarization” becomes a phase
of “Mental Alchemy” known and practiced by the ancient and modern
Hermetic Masters. An understanding of the Principle will enable one
to change his own Polarity,as well as that of others, if he will devote

Polarity have been closely studied by the Hermetists, and the methods
of counteracting, neutralizing and USING them form an important
part of the Hermetic Mental Alchemy”.
6- Capítulo 6 – O paradoxo Divino: “The half-wise, recognizing the
comparative unreality of the Universe, imaginethat they may defy
its Laws — such are vain and presumptuous fools, and theyare
broken against the rocks and torn asunder by the elements by
reason oftheir folly. The truly wise, knowing the nature of the
Universe, use Lawagainst laws; the higher against the lower; and by
the Art of Alchemytransmute that which is undesirable into that
which is worthy, and thustriumph. Mastery consists not in abnormal
dreams, visions and fantasticimaginings or living, but in using the
higher forces against the lower —escaping the pains of the lower
planes by vibrating on the higher.Transmutation, not presumptuous
denial, is the weapon of the Master.” —The Kybalion.

7- Capítulo 15 – Axiomas Herméticos: “The mastery of Polarization is the

mastery of the fundamentalprinciples of Mental Transmutation or
Mental Alchemy, for unless oneacquires the art of changing his own
polarity, he will be unable to affecthis environment. An understanding
of this principle will enable one tochange his own Polarity, as well as
that of others, if he will but devotethe time, care, study and practice
necessary to master the art. Theprinciple is true, but the results
obtained depend upon the persistentpatience and practice of the
student”.

Verdade-Semente

1- “The lifework of Hermes seems to have been in the direction of

planting the great Seed-Truth which has grown and blossomed in
so many strange forms, rather than to establish a school of
philosophy which would dominate the world's thought”. (intro, 2).

Minhas anotações:

 Quando ele fala de Alquimistas mentais avançados, lembro-me de

Moisés quando ergue o mar vermelho (ou mar morto?). Ou então
quando seu cajado transforma-se em cobra.

 O que vem a ser a transmutação mental que o livro fala? Quais

experiências concretas eu tenho de transmutação mental? São
aquelas que consigo fazer quando faço uma oração, quando medito
em algum assunto, quando recebo alguma inspiração.
  Transmutação Mental: mudar, gradativamente, um estado/condição
mental, em outro. O próprio ensino do Mestre, das duas estações do
pensamento (não é uma forma de iniciar uma transmutação mental?
Outra palavra do Mestre: podemos exorcizar/expurgar um
pensamento negativo com um positivo.

 Ao tomar Jesus e Moisés por exemplos destes Mestres capazes de

transmutar a matéria (Mestres, portanto, da transmutação mental) –
qual é o caminho que eles ensinam? Qual é a técnica, portanto, da
transmutação mental?

 Se no final das contas o objetivo é a transmutação mental, por que,

então, a linguagem dos metais?

de Moisés e Jesus ( sua fé te curou, etc.).

- O resultado da Magnus Opus;

- O espírito adormecido na matéria;
- A matéria espiritualizada, ou, o materialismo espiritual.
