Pre-employment Seminar 2019

(Reaction Paper)

Pre-employment Seminar 2019 was held at Cavite State University

international convention center to introduce to the future employees from Cavite
State University, the life of being a worker and also the way to act as a professional.

Sir Kim Chua, an academic Linkages manager, employee at jobst180,

promotes the most convenient way of making resumes using Resumelink site. Aside
from that, he discussed the important techniques on how to improve self in different
workplaces. He also talked about the different survival strategies and the tips in
developing work ethics. This two worded quotation "Be Better" is what left in my
mind after his discussion. He said "In every work we have, whether it’s hard, we
should always be better". I also realized that in work it is better not to compare
yourself to others but blend with them.

This topic about personality development was really helpful for us, future
employees, because knowing those things to apply or practice can really change
ourselves in a positive way, which is also beneficial to the work environment that we
are going to attend to in the near future.

Engr. Carlo D. Merilos, senior labor and employment officer of Department of

Labor and Employment, talks about basic labor rights by following the proper work
outline. This is really knowledgeable, because knowing the rights of employees and
the employers, help us to be more cautious in every actions.

The two topics, about personality development and about work environment,
the rights and rules, are very important. As what i realized, they are really connected
to each other. We must have good personality in doing our work to create a good
and productive work environment. Overall, the seminar was great, highly
recommended and must happen once more.
