Work Ethic refers to a set of moral values that guide individuals towards successfully completing
So the next time you see a job ad that requires candidates with a strong work ethic, understand
that you’ve got to own a series of abilities, like professionalism or punctuality, that will help you
—and your future employer, of course—deliver work within a set of agreed rules. Later in the
article, we’ll go into all of these skills you need to cover for the strong work ethic aspect.
Realistically though, work ethic means different things to different people. While some see it as
the guiding force behind an employee’s motivation at work, others see it as a complete list of
skills that companies need to get their projects done. More controversial than its simple
definition remains whether or not a strong work ethic is something you’re born with or can learn.
REFLECTION:
Throughout our lives, every person will meet some sort of problem. That is why work ethic is
such an important characteristic to have while growing up. Work ethics taught me to not just do
what is expected of me but to strive to be better than expected. Having the positive aura and
character instilled in you helps you build the courage and motivation to find work and to do your
work. “Realistically though, work ethic means different things to different people” helps me
realize that in a workplace we will collaborate with different individuals with different characters
so we have to build relationship and gain the trust of everyone for you to be able to have peace
One reason I appreciate my parents for instilling a strong work ethic in me is that helped drive
me towards following up on finishing my education with a college degree. Work ethic should
matter to everyone because that is what sets you apart and helps you excel in life.
I know I’m still young but I manage to learn a lot of things during the pandemic and I got to
realize that life is not easy and life is short so I must learn and provide something worthy for me
and for my family. I need to find work that could help me build my future and my dreams.
Having the characters and work ethics that I may possess I know I will become who I want to be.
ARTICLE 2: SAFETY IN THE WORKPLACE
Employee health and safety programs should be a major priority for management because they
safe lives, increase productivity, and reduce costs. These health and safety programs should
(Anthony et al., 2007). Work safety requires that safe working conditions should not create
significant risk of people being rendered unfit to perform their work. Health and safety at work is
therefore aimed at creating conditions, capabilities, and habits that enable the worker and his/her
organization to carry out their work efficiently and in a way that avoids events which could cause
them harm (Garcia-Herrero et al., 2012). It is clear that safe working conditions have an effect on
the habits of workers, which in turn impacts on efficiency. This implies that employees working
in a safe condition are likely to perform in a way that will not cause them harm.
REFLECTION:
Employee or everyone’s safety is very important and it place a big part of every company. We
should find a workplace that has a safety rules and regulations that provides assurance to
everyone. I wanted to learn things like having the knowledge about first aid and the like, for me
to provide fast aid for myself and for others. It is clear that every working place should have the
capability to provide safe and secure environment. I learn that everyone’s lives is important and
we don’t know what our future holds so we must secure ourselves for the benefit of our family.
“Workers is not just workers” – This quote makes me realize that workers or employee is not just
about working for the company. It is the foundation and the soul of the company’s growth and
everyone as a family that helps the company grow. It’s not easy to be an employee or a worker.
It requires ability, capability, knowledge, and wisdom to continue doing the work. It must be safe
and secure. I am very excited to have my own job and find a good company as I build my dreams
to become reality.
ARTICLE 3: CONFIDENTIALITY IN THE WORKPLACE
Confidentiality in the workplace is rule number one in the book of business etiquette. Not only
are you showing your customers, clients and employees a level of common courtesy by
protecting their data, but you’re also fulfilling your legal responsibility to prevent sensitive
information from being leaked. Such breaches of confidentiality can have catastrophic
consequences for your business, so it’s worth ensuring you understand how to adhere to this
Look at it this way, in a single day one employee could be handling all sorts of private or
intellectual information, from customer contact details to financial information regarding the
company. Not to mention the data that could be retrieved if your computer systems were
procedures in place, your data is at risk of a breach. The same applies whether you work in
finance, healthcare, HR, you name it. It’s important for an employer to take the necessary steps

compliance with the law. You have to build respect to your company and to everyone’s personal
information. You don’t want to be the source of fake news or worst be the traitor of the place.
You have to zipper your mouth and think hundred times before you spill something that could
lead you to harm or worst lead you in a lawsuit. Employee must have the handbook of rules and
regulations or contract. They must review and read it many times for them to understand the
content of the said regulations and contract. Many states have laws protecting the confidentiality
of certain information in the workplace. The disclosure of sensitive employee and management
information can lead to a loss of employee trust, confidence and loyalty. This will almost always
result in a loss of productivity. Worker must be the source of trust and good relationship for both
employer and employee. I learned that we have to respects everyone’s private information.

MY CAREER PLAN
As I grow older, I wanted to do something for myself and for my family and that is to
have my future job and earn to build my dreams. Now that I am a graduating student in Senior
High I am planning to take the Entrance examination in Sultan Kudarat State University and get

I know it’s not easy in college life but I will do my best to finish my studies, take up
Board Examinations and apply to better schools. I want to impart my knowledge, learning and
capabilities to others. I want to build my goals and objectives not for myself but also for the
future of my students and to my employer. I know I have the courage and I hope that It’ll help
me achieve my dreams.
My future is not just for me but for my family. I am very thankful for their support and
love to me as I grow up. They help me in every little way. They provide what I need for my
studies and for my daily needs. I am so grateful for their great love so I also want to include them
journey, the step that I passed in my elementary and High School life. I am so grateful for the
learnings, thankful for the knowledge and wisdom that I learn. I am embracing every moment
because I know it’ll help me overcome my fear and my doubts. “KUNG KAYA NANG IBA,
KAYA KO RIN” that is the very quote I am instilling my mind and my heart as part of my
motivation to go on. I am not perfect, I have insecurities and doubts but I am encouraging
myself, motivating myself that life may be hard but God is always there to help and provide.
