RE: Ian Hansen

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter of recommendation is for Ian Hansen.

Ian has been a student teacher here at Windsor Middle School for the 2019 - 2020 school year.
He has been involved in Band, String Orchestra, and Guitar classes. My work with Ian is with
the Strings and Guitar. His primary focus has been the Guitar class.

Ian has shown great creativity in developing curriculum for guitar class. This has shown to be
very successful, as the class of 37 students has learned many of the basic skills needed to
continue in guitar. He has taught note reading, chords and ensemble work.

Ian is also highly skilled in string instruments and has taught in the strings classes as well,
giving insight to the kids based on his experience as a musician in the field.

He has shown excellent awareness of the diverse needs that a public school classroom
demands, focusing on EL and special needs students and their specific needs.

I feel that Ian would be a great leader for any music program at any level and would be an asset
to any school.
