This serves as a letter of recommendation for Sophia Anzalone. The information contained in
this letter is confidential, should be treated as such, and is provided at the request of Sophia. It is
my honor to provide this general letter of recommendation to be used by Sophia Anzalone in
applying for teaching positions. I have known Ms. Anzalone since the fall of 2019 and have
served as her cooperating teacher at Spotswood High School during the first 8 weeks of our
Spring 2020 semester.

Sophia is an incredibly devoted individual and musician. While student teaching at Spotswood
she has dedicated herself not only to the education of my students, but the overall understanding
of the art of making music. She was constantly searching out ways to better herself and bring
new understanding through various methods in the choirs as well piano and music technology
classes. She is not only a great human being but also a caring musician, who strives to be her
best regardless of challenges. Her passion for teaching music drives her to do what is necessary
for the success of her students. Her directing and leadership skills greatly improved over her 8
weeks of student teaching. It was our joint decision to allow her to continue teaching into her
final week because of her great growth and deeper understanding of effective teaching.

If you are looking for an applicant that embodies dedication, reliability, willingness and honesty,
Sophia is just that. She possesses strong intellectual and creative abilities. In addition to this she
is hard working, compassionate, diligent, enthusiastic and professional. She carries strong
interpersonal skills, is well liked and works well with others. Most importantly, her passion for
teaching music education is what drives her to become better from one lesson to the next without
fail.
