To whom it may concern:

It is my honor to write a letter of reference for Miss Samantha Krozek, as she pursues a
full- time elementary teaching position. My class and I had the absolute pleasure of
having Samantha Krozek as a student teacher from Saginaw Valley State University.
Miss Krozek was with us from August to December 2019 at Ubly Community Schools,
where I am a 5th grade teacher. She was assigned to my room daily for nearly the
entire first half of the 2019-2020 school year to learn the inner workings of a general
education classroom. She was present for all professional development before school
even started and was a huge help in setting up of the classroom. I have found her to be
genuinely caring, patient and willing to do everything and anything I asked of her.

Miss Krozek has a soft-spoken way about her and treats students with dignity and
respect. Her forte was connecting with students who require extra care and support.
Samantha is organized and reliable. Her lesson plans often exceeded my expectations
for a student teacher. They were thoughtful, well designed for a range of different
learners and presented with enthusiasm. She learned about the different reading and
math interventions that we use here at our school and dug right in to become proficient
in administering them. Her dealings with, parents, other staff members and
administration was consistently professional and appropriate. Overall, I have been most
impressed by her dedication to our shared students and the rapport that she had built
with them. She even returned to surprise them at our annual holiday performance and
band concert.

It has been my pleasure to work with Samantha Krozek this year and it is without
hesitation that I recommend her for a teaching position. Her contributions to students
and education this year has not gone unnoticed by, her collaborating professor, other
colleagues or our administration. I have no doubt that she will go far beyond any
expectations you have for a first-year teacher.
