To Whom It May Concern:

I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Mrs. Nicolette Teles. I have had the privilege of
working with Mrs. Teles in her role as a K-12 Curriculum Supervisor since the 2014-15 school year. During
this time Mrs. Teles and I have worked closely as colleagues in the areas of reading and writing instruction
focusing on making students become better readers and writers.

Mrs. Teles had a vision for the students of the Northampton Area School District and the students have
benefited from her vision and pursuit of growing students in reading and writing on a daily basis. Mrs. Teles
has been critical in moving NASD forward as it relates to the curriculum and instruction in reading and writing
and I look forward to the continued progress students are making every day.

Mrs. Teles was instrumental in the 2017-18 school year in coordinating a visit to a local school district where
George Wolf teachers had the opportunity to visit and observe classrooms in which a dynamic and engaging
reading program was in place. Ms. Teles was able to facilitate and move this new reading program into the
Northampton Area School District where the Units of Study Reading was implemented in the spring of 2018.
Students of George Wolf and other schools in the district have been able to reap the benefits of this dynamic
reading program since its implementation.

Mrs. Teles was also deeply involved in orchestrating the Standards Based Report Card that went into effect for
K- 2 during the 2019-20 school year after a year of planning and begins for grades 3-5 during the current
school year. Mrs. Teles not only helped guide and direct planning, but was the voice to communicate the
rationale and use of the Standards Based Report Card to the students and parents of the Northampton Area
School District.

Mrs. Teles takes a team approach when making educational decisions. Her ability to incorporate all
stakeholders so a thorough decision for the students can be made is an essential quality she possesses.
Ultimately, Ms. Teles does what is in the best interest of the students given the circumstances and within the
parameters of the rules and policies of the school.

Mrs. Teles’ professionalism is commendable. She is flexible and always willing to take the time to ensure all
staff and school needs are met appropriately. She advocates for students while still being concerned about the
needs of the school district.

I recommend Mrs. Teles without reservation. If you have any questions with regard to her qualifications,
please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Stephen Serensits
