My name is Tina Dellasandro and I am a kindergarten teacher at Stowers Elementary School in
Ft. Benning, Georgia. I have 27 years teaching experience and have had the pleasure of
working and mentoring several student and new teachers. Samantha is one individual that I
have worked with, that has uniquely stood out.

Samantha and I worked together at McBride Elementary School when she took over the
kindergarten class beside mine as a long-term sub. McBride Elementary is a 21st Century school,
where we share a common teaching space as well as the shared responsibility for our students’
success. Therefore, it is absolutely imperative for our teaching teams to work cooperatively and
in harmony. It was clear from the very beginning, that Samantha had a deep, intuitive
knowledge of her subject matter, as well as a collaborative spirit. Not only did she continually
strive to make learning fun and exciting, but she also showed a complete devotion to the
educational success of the class. They became her students and she treated them as if they were
her very own. Samantha was always in constant contact with her students’ parents, and
continued to provide them with updates regarding the progress of their child.

During her time at McBride Elementary, Samantha also proved an essential part of our Focus
Collaboration Team. She took on several roles such as; facilitator, scribe, and timekeeper.
Samantha is an amazing teacher with a positive attitude and an exemplary work ethic. With her
extensive experience, I'm confident that Samantha will become an integral member of your staff.
