This letter is to give my recommendation of Phoebe Schoeneweis for a position with your school
district. During the 2020-2021 school year, I have had the pleasure of working with Phoebe in
the music department as a colleague and as the music department chair.

At the beginning of the school year, Phoebe was hired to teach in the Elementary school in a
general music and beginning band setting. With the COVID-19 pandemic, Phoebe helped
rewrite and implement a new curriculum that is adaptable for the ever changing needs of the
building and students. During this process, she was instrumental in making this change
possible.

After the elementary placement ended, she moved into our middle school and was placed in
choir. In this role, she has been able to make students love singing and music while preparing
them for performance. She is a master of making students feel comfortable in her class so that
they will sing without hesitation or fear. It is a welcoming classroom that all students feel
comfortable participating in.

Phoebe would be an excellent addition to your music program and will help build the music
