A. If a teach at a high school level the main way of communication will be through the Booster Club for my choir. Parents at the beginning of the year will be invited to join the booster club. I will send home a monthly news letter to inform the parent of what their child is learning in music class. There will be a progress report sent home every nine weeks. The students grades will also be posted on the school parent portal. I will available to parents at all times by email, and phone. The students will have to get it signed. I will have phone conferences with students that are having trouble succeeding in the class. Parents will also have an opportunity to see their childrens perform in the choral concerts. I will also be available on open house nights at the school I teach in. It will be a challenge to maintain communication with students parents throughout the year, because I am not there main teacher. I will only be teaching them music for one period. Music is also and activity class and is not viewed as an important subject matter. B. I will meet with the teachers that also teach the students in my chorus class and try to plan my music lessons along with what they are learning in class. I will also work with the music teachers of others schools to share my ideas and also gather ideas that they have. I will also try to perform the concerts in different places such as nursing homes, churches, community wide functions. For the students with a learning disability I will work with their counselors to make sure that they receive the best care.
